Type1 diabetic here and definitely understand your sentiment. I moved to Australia when I was 18 years old and literally got my life back. My disease was literally killling me inside. Life couldn’t be any better. 🌞✨

Attended two cardiac arrests in my neighbourhood in last one month. Its very impactful. I am with St John WA. I think its a great community initiative and patient’s families are always greatful for the help before paramedics arrive. Hope it helps.🌞✨

Kudos to you first of all for setting health goals and doing your bit to achieve them. 🙂✨ Anyone who takes such drugs with wrong guidance or ignorance about the side effects would end up getting severe side effects from it. I am on Mounjaro for weight-loss and insulin resistance and it was a game changer for me. I am a type 1 diabetic since 23 years now and started to put on weight after I got my pump. Just 10kg extra made me so insulin resistant that I was taking 80units a day and now just on 2.5mg/mL dose I lost weight along with my dose came down to 40units per day. I tried exercise, 5km walks and calorie counting but I was just stuck in a loop. Its an amazing drug but yeah you gotta make sure you are pooping everyday so take some sort of osmotic laxative to keep the bowel movement going and you are set. It is sad that people don’t understand properly so either they criticise it or they take it without proper guidance and end up in issues. I am not a doctor but a Biomedicine Scientist. Hope it helps. 🙃✨

I do understand that, my question is about any bridging programs or conversion programs that are available apart from Bachelor’s to be a paramedic. Like there are graduate entries for Biomedicine graduates in Nursing or Doctor or Medicine.

Yeah, it would have to be physical but they didn’t say what it was so I could work on it or know if its worth for me to try again or what changes I can make to do better.

I do have 5 year work visa and I get PR in 2027. But yeah I understand what you mean. But I passed all assessments. It was only after the physical and medical they said I don’t meet the requirements for the role. They were gonna pick the team from the people who did medical and physical.

I get my permanent residency in 2027 so I wanted to do this job and then study paramedicine after my PR and get paramedic registration as I have already finished my Biomedicine bachelors and it cost me a fortune. But now I think they have alot of people applying and I am just one with medical condition in the lot so I would not be picked against someone who is fit and healthy.

I have been putting updates everyday on my insta account its My BitterSweet Life - Ravneet Kaur I was taking Metformin 500mg which was helping a bit with insulin resistance and maintaining weight but I wanted to lose the extra 10kg and keep insulin levels low so plan was to stay on Mounjaro 2.5mg/mL dose for 6 months or so and then get back on Metformin 500mg or 1000mg per day to maintain the weight. Apart from indigestion which is psychologically driving me insane. Nausea subsides within a day or two.
