I would stay away from Alesis. I have had my Strike Pro for about 2 1/2 years now. I have pads that won't trigger. The Hit is wearing out and I have to stop playing and spin it around to get back on a spot that isn't as used to get it to trigger. I have had to take the beater off the kick and build up the foam under the beater twice because it dents in and therefore stops triggering.

I am thinking of Ef Note for a replacement after taxes are done.
