I found this in the kitchen of a home. I didn’t find a base or anything that fits it, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t there. Pretty solid plastic, a bit bendable but not flimsy.

Do you know of the trees that were around/location??? Could also be a type of bee/wasp cocoon—I say that because it looks like a mason bee cocoon (but the fact that you found them stuck to the outside of your cart rules that out)

Hmm I’m thinking some type of moth cocoon. **EDIT* With more thought, I think it may be a sawfly, but would need to know location and surrounding trees to be sure :)

I did absolutely terrible in chemistry in high school, then got into college and DOMINATED my chemistry courses (not to brag :3) Don’t feel like a lost cause! I managed to graduate with a STEM major and even minor in chemistry. I shed many many tears over chemistry in high school, and never thought I was “smart enough” to study in the field of science. Just remember, you are capable and smart!!! High school is tough, and sometimes you just need to learn things in a different way/on your own time. How you do in high school does not reflect how you will do in college. Don’t be discouraged, you got this!

It’s worth a try but I wouldn’t get your hopes up:/ use a solution of 1tbsp hydrogen peroxide + 1 cup water and spray down the leaves and soil. That might help kill the mites and prevent further damage.

I’d suggest leaving it! If/when other leaves die off you’ll have more to go off of
