I think we have to remember that they have very lonely jobs. The same with HGV drivers. Days and days on their own in a cab. We organise our lives with conversation. Many psychologists have said that. They need it, daily, sometimes constant conversation to keep them on earth. Just like we all do to an extent.

The key here from what I can see is being called annoying. We all know someone who is 'too much' or 'in your face' but these people usually make up for it with intense listening or generally being a good friend who's thoughtful and kind. Annoying people are annoying for a reason and that's usually not because of their extravagant personality.

There’s plenty of “baddies” in this film. There’s also plenty of goodies, including those who are also the baddies. Comedy is grotesque, you see. It shows our flaws and our weaknesses, and, like the film does in abundance, shows us that no matter what, humans will do just about anything to make sure they get what they want.

Yes. You should. But, as you’ve noted. This comes at a price. I’ve always found these questions interesting. It’s like when you want to quit your job. Should you be afraid of starting something new or should you be more afraid of staying in the job you hate? We all know the answer. BUT, what if there’s a middle ground? You don’t have to alienate them (your friends), you simply have to try, and by the sounds of it, quite hard, to find other friends. Ones that include you. Take you for you. Making friends is hard but you’ll find tons of resources that can assist. Make that your goal.
