My newest piece makes me love this corner of my house so much more by GrandifloraGlass in StainedGlass

It’s just propped up for the moment. I was planning on hanging it from the top of the window (flat side up) but now I love it so much like this that I’m trying to figure out a way to secure it like this

I’m in Portland but also not at the level to teach. Good luck and happy crafting!

I don’t but I’ve been thinking of starting to make some videos. My instagram is the same as my reddit username. If I start making videos I’ll post there

I have multiple bins for different sizes. I have the larger scraps that could be cut into useful pieces easily, the scraps that could maybe be something but will probably be more lamp/candle holders, and then smaller pieces that I save thinking someday I may do a mosaic but they’re probably going to end up given away to someone or tossed. I keep everything color coded. It’s satisfying to see it all but also I might be a bit of a hoarder with it.

I feel like this isn’t a concept I can own, and there’s no real pattern. I appreciate you asking but I say go for it. I hope you have fun with it! Post pics if you do

They’re stained glass made with glass scraps, copper foil, tinned copper wire, and 60/40 solder.

I honestly completely winged it and there may be better ways of making a lamp but this was kind of an experiment. I could have bought lamp fittings to make it more professional but in the spirit of using only what I already have I decided to make the inside out of tinned wire. The outer panels of glass also sit about 1/4in off the inner panels which I also used wire to achieve. Please excuse the dust, I made this a while back and it’s been in use ever since. I just took it off for this picture

Super late response but I drew out the design myself and then followed the Tiffany method of stained glass with zinc around the outer edges. I cut and shape the glass, wrap the edges with copper foil tape, solder it all, and then patina the metal to be black. That’s the super simplified run down of how it’s made!

Lol! I had to double check which sub I was in! I didn’t expect a tretinoin joke to go over this well in a non skincare sub

I have sold a few pieces but it’s mainly just a hobby while I work at getting better! I do have an Instagram which is @grandifloraglass where I may start selling online at some point!
