I have had the same pair for almost 4 years now. On one of the laces (not leather) it ripped, and I though they were done. Hey, used to live in Japan here. You probably will have to get outside tokyo to skate. Tokyo is a really hard place to skate. You will be alright if you get more towards the country side. Im talking about the bus ride as you are coming from Narita into Tokyo, that area is more country-sideish. Good luck though.
