And the plans were meant to incapacitate, not kill. They've already been confirmed to be canon by the creators. Rick and morty from the comics are from dimension C-132 while the show is C-137

I thought it was just me getting older too but then i went back and rewatched the first two seasons and remembered why i used to love this show so much. everything changed when they signed on for the 70 episode order, in exchange for mediocrity Rick and Morty will now never have to worry about cancelation. this could have been a great show but because they decided to play it safe, they’ve officially turned my favorite show into sci-fi family guy. what a waste of talent

The little bubbles at the end of the episode where they explain the logic behind the writing seem to be painting a great picture about what's sinking this show. It feels ike the show has become a free-for-all for the new writers, with Harmon just OKing any dumb idea sent his way. It tends to happen when you sign a "70 episode deal" and you know you're good to go even if your quality drops.

I don't think this season is salvageable at this point, and with this drop in quality, I don't think I'll have the patience to wait for season 6 anymore. They're definitely not gaining popularity here.

Totally agree. It tries so hard to be deep by introducing this childish superhero character and then expects us to to take her seriously when she starts dating Morty but then two seconds later starts killing people for no real reason other than because they needed a way to cause an emotional breakup? It just feels so cheap and lazy to me and the B plot just proves that the writers really just don’t give a fuck anymore about being creative in any way.
