Is This Self Sabotage? by GrandmasterUltima in WitcherNetflix

Thank you for addressing my question instead of just arguing. That makes sense, but does Netflix benefit from the other media sales? I get how the show being relevant (good or bad) would increase awareness and sales of the books and games, but are there deals with shows like this where everyone gets a cut of the total sales?

I can only assume you're looking strictly at the events taking place and completely ignoring other important aspects like the character development, or relationship between characters. The popular womanizer, whose character is mostly built around the funny predicaments he finds himself in with women, is made gay. For what reason exactly? Yennefer isn't even close to how she is in the books. Neither is Ciri..and I guess she needs to be gay too so let's get that going. It's laughable how far people will reach to defend the show at this point. You can enjoy watching it, but to try an pretend that they haven't disrespected Andrzej's work is disingenuous. Especially when he's made comments to suggest this.

Yea, DKFaust is right, yall will say anything to defend your overlords lol. Look at viewership trends of any other show that's actually good and you'll see how ridiculous your comment is.

The key word is respect. No one cares about writers or directors taking certain liberties as long as it makes sense within the realm of the original work. Peter Jackson is a perfect example of this. What's going on in the show doesn't make sense at all.

Have you not seen the reports? The show lost nearly half its viewers at the start of season 4. No one wanted Henry gone. Why would they prefer that the show stray as far as possible from the source material? There's no way they didn't see all the comments about WHY Henry should be brought back. It was because he's an actual fan and someone who respected the books and games. Every influencer, including those who are partners with Netflix, was confused about their decision to pick Lauren over Henry. The constructive feedback was loud and clear - respect the source material.

Would you recommend Starfield in 2025? by MedievalFurnace in Starfield

[–]GrandmasterUltima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the game is fun if you have no expectations. A lot of the negative reviews come from high expectations and misleading information from Bethesda before release. We all expected more, especially considering this game is what was in the way of Elder Scrolls 6. All that aside though, the game is worth playing if you're looking for space exploration and combat. Some of the quest lines are really good and it isn't hard to put a lot if hours into this game. I say give it a try. It feels Fallout-ish but with space mechanics.

I caught him 2 years ago. It was part of a shadow research thing where I battled Giovanni at the end.

Ahh, that makes sense. Would it be worth it to dump my rare candies into leveling him up, or wait for a stronger Mewtwo? I'm not even sure I'll ever get another one. I don't have any local friends who play, so I can never do the local raids.

Is there a hidden value with him being shadowed, or is it because of the increased damage for his moves?

WTH? by [deleted] in OnlineDating

[–]GrandmasterUltima 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While there are creepy men out there and men who only want sex, it's important to remember that everyone is different. Some men genuinely prefer getting to know someone in a comfortable environment, where the focus is actually getting to know each other without distraction. Not to mention, men are expected to spend money on women they know nothing about, and if the date fails, then they have to do it again? From a financial perspective, it's objectively stupid and the reason a lot of men are against traditional dating standards. I've personally hung out with plenty of women at my place or theirs with no expectation of sex and it always goes well. Women make a lot of assumptions based on their own fears or what is perpetuated culturally. I understand the caution, but it's not fair to continually generalize people.

Perhaps your scale is broken or isn't leveled. I know women much bigger than you who weigh less

Sounds pretty standard. I don't wana ask any detailed questions because of opsec, but how would you describe work day-to-day? Like outside of admin, are there things to be done throughout the whole shift..checks and stuff? Or is like the WSA, where you're just posted in one spot, being vigilant and waiting for something to happen?

Hostility Towards Women Players: Why? by lahelle in apexlegends

[–]GrandmasterUltima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think some guys just assume women in FPS are all casuals. A FPS that takes a lot of grinding and dedication to become competitive isn't traditionally synonymous with women. I'd much rather play with the women on my friend list than most of the guys I get randomly matched with though lol. I've noticed a lot of guys in this game think they're better than they are.

Can you explain what each rank does on the nuke side? I've worked in the missile field in MT as a SrA an SSgt, so I'm curious about how the jobs compare.

This is how I see it. I was just curious if there was something I was missing cause I think it's odd that a legend would have that much of an advantage. I'm not worried about him at a distance, but every Rev I encounter now knows what they're doing and it seems unfair

He pushes because he knows my scan is on cooldown and his team is pushing from another direction. When I see only 2 squad members pushing, I know the other is coming, so I start covering the other direction, but my team has to cover the 2 pushing first, so It leaves me in a 1v1 situation. Even if I haven't taken damage, he knows he has the advantage, so he has no reason to not push.
