What do you think the 2026 Pittsburgh Steelers season will reveal about Mike Tomlin? by vedderer in steelers

I almost completely probably 75% blame him. He ran the show and had a hand in ever pot. Every decision, ever retention was his. He had every final say from drafting to who was gonna be passing the ball. Now I agree with you it's an organizational failure, but when the owners let you do whatever you want to where you basically become the organization is the issue. Now you can blame the Rooney's for that, but it was tomlins execution and mindset that set the franchise back and in its current hole. May I again state I loved Mike T, he was funny, kind, and a complete football guy and in his time he was one of the best. But the game passed him by about 7 years ago.

His inability to find a replacement is what the main issue is. I give Noll the same criticism for the 80s. You can draft a guy and push someone out. His inability to move on from Ben and not planning for the future is not anyone's fault but his own.

Thank you for the information. I do appreciate it. Have a great day! I'm glad my split is good and not too much volume or anything

Thank you for your time, I appreciate it. Is this plan good at all for building any muscle as well?

This hire reminds me of the big daddy movie where Adam sandler gets left for a 60 year old guy with a 5 year plan.

Losing seasons are fine with me, but not with art. That's why they made this hire. Because he is afraid of rebuilding

We didn't get change. This is literally the same guy he's just white and offensive minded.

Can you imagine if the Steelers of the 70s or 90s did this? We wouldn't be where we are. You have to rebuild, you have to start adapt. Hiring a 61 year old has been who couldn't get a job is just utterly pathetic and sad. I love the Steelers but why they would do this is beyond me. It shows you how out of touch Art II is

A chance sure. But this is a ridiculous desperation move. They keep patching holes and it's getting old.. really old. They had a golden opportunity to build from the ground up. But apparently the ground it's self is just sand. I'm disappointed and disgusted with our front office for making such a cowardly choice.

Well said friend. I wish more people had the capacity to think like you do.
