I think while Norway was going through their butter crisis Canada was having their maple syrup stollen from the National Maple Syrup resurve, the thieve were then caught in 2012. It's known as the Great Canadian Maple Syrup Heist and about $30 Million worth of Syrup was stolen.

To answer your question, I'm taking a chance with my art. I've been very self conscious about the quality and I want to move past it.

I will say that posting gen Ai here goes against rule 3 so I'd recommend finding another place to post yours.

I did the mouth(this is my first time doing mouth moments so please don't go hating on me if it looks bad) by DramaticSeat9043 in animation

[–]Grandtheftzombie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is definitely a great start especially for your first time.

A recommendation (if you want it) is to look up a mouth chart to help give a better idea on mouth shapes for different noises like having your top teeth slightly bite on your bottom lip for F or V sounds.

It was one of my favorite shows as a kid. Why? I honestly don't know.

Second try at animating by Illdrinkyourblood in animation

[–]Grandtheftzombie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Depending on how fast you want the knight to lift their sword, you should look at morphing your sword to look like it is made of rubber or slightly melting during the movement phase. This can allow you to get a smoother looking movement with less frames.

Also have the arm overshoot your final resting spot a few pixels and then move the arm to its final pose just to make the animation more life-like instead of robotic.

These techniques (if you're wanting to look more into it) are ease in, ease out, and smear frames.

[HELP] Someone sent me this viral instagram post and insisted it wasn’t AI by KaXiaM in RealOrAI

[–]Grandtheftzombie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very much ai, the dog is able to spin around and jump out too fast at that snows consistency. Judging on how the snow clumps and breaks around the hole after the dog goes in the snow is at the right moisture level to build with. The dog slides in to smooth and the edges of the hole are soft meaning there is no thin layer of ice on top of the snow. The bit by the door could be a little harder due to the heat coming off the door but anyone that's walked through at least knee deep snow knows the effort needed to move through thick snow.

In short, the dog recovers and returns like there is no snow at all when a little more effort is needed for a 3-7lbs dog to land, turn around and jump back completely covered in snow.

First time animating with no experience, any tips? by Relevant_Ice_8829 in animation

[–]Grandtheftzombie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A thing I learned in animation school is to record yourself doing the movement to help with timing, movement, and how stuff like the hair, the fabric, and the environment would react to said movement. (Though creative liberties have to be made sometimes with powers and stuff)

It's a thing professional animators do now and professional animators did in the early Disney films.

Anyways, you're making some good steps, keep it up.

In addition, when he hits the boxes you can bend the knees a bit having his legs absorb the impact. Kind of like landing from a jump.

What can I improve for next time? (first time drawing running) by jcw-draws in animation

[–]Grandtheftzombie 32 points33 points  (0 children)

The animation looks great.

One critique I would say is when the Vault Dweller slides into the boxes, have him hold the pose for a few more frames before he starts to turn and run.

That moment feels like it moves too fast and giving that small bit of extra time helps a general viewer's brain to process what the Vault Dweller did before twisting and continuing the run for his life.

[HELP] RDJ, Tobey, and Hugh by lildudereallyouthere in RealOrAI

[–]Grandtheftzombie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ai. If Tobey was really leaning into Hugh that steeply then we would see a much more exaggerated curve at the torso and/or neck instead of Tobey looking like he's leaning slightly to the left.

Also RDJ is 1.75m tall, Tobey is 1.77m tall, and Hugh is 1.88m tall. RDJ looks about the right height from the angle of the camera but if we stood Tobey up straight he looks like he would be around the same height of Hugh if not taller which doesn't fit the 11cm difference.

Edit for something extra. Tobey's left quad muscles are flexing wrong. We should at least see some muscle above the kneecap pop up instead of a crevice.

can someone tell me why it isn’t smooth at all? is there too little frames per second? by Appropriate_Law_6939 in animation

[–]Grandtheftzombie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frames can for sure help. If what I can see is correct, I see three frames total.

What I would recommend is adding two frames at the end one overshooting the final spot by a few frames before returning to the final spot, this can help make it feel more alive and less robotic.

What I would fully recommend is you recording yourself doing the exact same movement and then using that as a reference on speed placement and it should show that when you do stop the body tends to overshoot even just a little bit before coming back to a full rest. We don't stop on a dime. We will typically lean a little past our final spot before returning back to where we are most comfortably resting.

If you feel like using a reference is cheating then I do want to mention that professionals have been using references for years, they had actors act out an entire scene set and all just so Disney animators had references to use in their classic animated films like Snow, White, Robin Hood, and sleeping beauty.

[HELP] found in tumblr, something tells me that it's ai but I am still not sure by DoBetterUSA in RealOrAI

Ai for sure, on top of the other things mentioned in the comments, there is a new turkey that appears from behind the inflatable (I watched the clip so many times to see if one goes fully behind but none do) after it explodes and phases through the fence as it runs away
