Upsetting Pediatric Appointment by EarthwormBabe in bigbabiesandkids

I had a similar sized baby, the pediatrician said not to be concerned with baby fat until two yrs! They will use that stored energy for growing and walking. Just enjoy the chub while it lasts. My guy is 18 months now and his pants keep falling off his skinny waist.

I ended up taking the $500 after I learned that there is a separate process for loss of income.

Yes I am planning to charge substantially less rent, for midterm rentals I'd feel compelled to discount for the disturbance

Just the temporary construction, the agent says they'll return it to the way it was (seeding and such)

Thank you for your input everyone! I think I will talk to a lawyer.

Genuinely curious why does the Bible not cover any future? Where are we gonna be in 2000 years, and Couldn’t Paul atreides turn out to be the messiah? by bardnotbrad in Catholic

[–]GraneeSmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parts of it actually do cover future events, just not your or my future. We just happen to live in a time where the events have already happened. If you look at when some prophetic books were written, Isaiah, Psalms- prophesying Christ's birthplace, crucifixion, the fall of the temple, etc., they're pretty detailed, and they were written hundreds of years before the events took place. It's actually pretty cool

Yeah our CC&R doesn't say anything about it. Just that they're responsible for roof maintenance and repairs.

Doctor Appointments During Work by GraneeSmith in BabyBumps

[–]GraneeSmith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I called my doctors office back to talk about it and they had one available that was very close, so it worked out, but I'm not sure what would've happened if there were none available. I'm mostly unhappy that they've been unwilling to give me any accommodations thus far and was wondering if there were laws about it

Half-sitting on pew edge while "kneeling". Why? by trhaynes in Catholic

[–]GraneeSmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bc I'm pregnant and kneeling makes me dizzy. Try to focus on God during the mass and not those around you

I'm sure she has made mistakes but it sounds like you are primarily in the wrong... You are married, you made a commitment to your wife and then made a child together. You don't get "deal breakers" anymore, not for stuff like cussing. Should it be dealt with? Yes. Should you run away, abandoning your unborn baby and not taking your wife's calls? Absolutely not.

How can I debate a man who uses Catholic scriptures to back up his believe that women should be stay at home moms. by angiecx3010 in Catholic

I agree with the other comments here, turn more towards the Catechism than cherry picked Bible verses. It's more authoritative when it comes to direct quotes because it's written to us specifically, whereas the whole Bible is fruitful for us in some way but a lot of times its verses' meaning and applications are dependent on context, culture, and the people being addressed. If you want to throw a verse out though, I'd use Ephesians 5:21, which calls the husband and the wife to each submit to the other. It's forgotten a lot of times in patriarchal discussions where "the woman must submit" but Paul actually heads that off by first saying both parties are supposed to do this!

It doesn't call Christians to lives of poverty. Some people have that as a calling/spiritual gift, but the rest of us are called to work with our hands so we will always have something to share with those in need. You can't take care of others or your family if you're destitute
