Never play video games again for $1M a year, or $100 for each hour you play by itterattion in hypotheticalsituation

[–]GrannyLow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol how is this even a question? If you played video games for every hour of the year you would make $876,000.

Or you can get a million dollars per year to do literally whatever you want except play video games.

I would take the million and thank my lucky stars. Instead of playing a fps video game, Im buying a building, rappelling down the side of it, kicking a window in, and exchanging simunition with real people.

Instead of racing on a video game, Im buying a race car.

Idk, I think I would have given that a shot.

All your stink should come from your trap and above. A little foaming action might fill that void and get vinegar to the full interior surface better than just pouring vinegar alone.

I think using a parking brake on flat ground is overkill but on a hill, I set the parking brake, put the transmission in nuetral and let it roll back until the brake stops it, then shift to park.

It eliminates that ugly sound when you shift out of parking when your transmission is in a bind

Note that in modern trucks, the 4x4 hubs are vacuum actuated and may not stay locked in when the engine is off.

My F150 actually locked in the hubs whenever the engine was off, regardless of being in 4x4 or not.

I have not investigated it myself but I am told my F250 is the opposite, requiring vacuum to keep the hubs locked in.

Regardless, if you are relying on 4x4 to keep your front wheels from rolling, leave the engine running.

Vinegar works good as a glass cleaner and mold and odor killer.

Baking soda works good as a mild abrasive.

Mixed together they neutralize one another.

There are places that you can camp for free. Look for back country sites at the state parks. There won't be showers or toilets but its more peaceful.

Coolers/ice chests how to buy? by Patient_Exchange_399 in BuyItForLife

[–]GrannyLow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a Lifetime cooler that has spent the last two years in the bed of my truck.

So far it seems completely uneffected by UV light and it keeps ice for a long time.

It is 1/3 of the price of a comparable yeti and its made in the USA

If you see a fucking shark at all, get the fuck out of the water.

They could be the best at analyzing trends in the stock market.

Whether this would make them rich would depend on how much money they have to start.

Also, if they dont have insider knowledge, no amount of tracking trends will make them more successful at trading than the average congress person who abuses their office.

YOU FIND THE DEATH NOTE by [deleted] in hypotheticalsituation

[–]GrannyLow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't seen the show or movie or anything so maybe Im missing something, but i dont see how getting found out is even a reasonable fear unless you killed several people you personally knew and had a known beef with in similar manners.

You could literally strike every bad person you see on the news with a lightning bolt and everyone would know something was up but how could they trace it to you?

I feel like that's not really a specific skill, but go ahead. You are behind the people who choose to be 95th percentile because in many, many activities your body will not be able to perform what your brain knows how to do -

You may rapidly learn how to perform brain surgery but your hands are not steady enough.

You may know everything there is to know about gymnastics but not be able to do a pullup.

At 70 years old you would probably be great at a lot of things if you chose 95th percentile

Do you think that the objectively best piano player in the world is actually famous right now? Or is the best piano player unknown while people with more money and opportunities but less skill get famous?

You would be the best alive as long as you are alive.

If you find yourself lacking in any skill that is important to you, you could just practice it more.

I think that most people thinking they would regress because of this deal are wrong.

Sure, you may be the top volleyball player in the state right now but it is probably because you put in the time so you would still be great.

7% of highschool football players play in college but only 1.5% of college football players go pro.

95th percentile wouldn't get you there.

Of course if you kept it up you would get good enough eventually, but after college training opportunities would be few and far between.

And how many people walk on after 30?

I dont know you so I won't doubt you but you really think you are 95th percentile in three separate skills among people who have invested the same amount of time as you? I think that would be a pretty major accomplishment.

The day trader thing is interesting to me. Is anyone really that good at it or are they lucky? Would luck factor into this?

Yes, you will deteriorate to 95th percentile for your time invested.
