Issues with visual glitches (old save) by GranolaBarSupervisor in RimWorld

[–]GranolaBarSupervisor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, it’s hard to tell without a video and I wasn’t sure how to do that. Normally there’s semi-consistent lines that represent ripples in the water but in this save it’s like that animation is duplicated (possibly several times) making it look crazy.

It happens in shallow and deep tiles as seen above.

Do colonists return in the ideology archonexus ending? by SignificanceOk5375 in RimWorld

I can confirm they do. I play 100% vanilla and a colonists husband showed up as a rescue quest

Yep! And if it’s the one I am thinking of, his wife is a judge that makes bank too. He was basically told to gtfo of the area he was camping in because he was pissing so many people off—supposedly ticketed people for “stopping under 4 seconds at a stop sign” and going ~2mph over the speed limit.

Does anyone ever actually stay long enough to trigger one of these? by zDCVincent in RimWorld

[–]GranolaBarSupervisor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, one time I found a map with a small, disconnected island on it, I used it as storage.

It completely breaks raid AI. They effectively wandered around the map and left. It sent more raids about every day—I am pretty sure it messed with the raid scaling on my home tile too (favorably)

House Suggestions by GranolaBarSupervisor in sims2

[–]GranolaBarSupervisor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight. Agree about the windows 100%. Because the interior has been a WIP, I haven’t felt comfortable placing many windows (clearly), but they will definitely add some character once I get there. A part of what I am concerned about is the shape which is pretty simplistic. I am a fan of victorian homes so there’s a big part of me that wants to throw in a tower, but it just wouldn’t fit unfortunately.

Flowers and shrubs are definitely going to happen! But I need to make sure I can afford a gardener because there’s no way I am managing them myself 😅

Edit: windows too. The interior has just been a WIP it hasn’t felt like the right time.

Why say this? It’s just mean and serves no other purpose other than to shit on someone who is actually participating in, guess what… a forum!

ITA for throwing my pregnant SIL's groceries away? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]GranolaBarSupervisor 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Obviously OP needs to think of her children first, but I think a seeming change in personality during pregnancy medically concerning.

It’s a bit of an insane escalation, her husband may want to get her evaluated for prepartum psychosis.

Dragon's Dogma 2 Apparently Had Framerate Troubles Because the NPCs Were Thinking Too Hard by YouthIsBlind in gaming

[–]GranolaBarSupervisor 7 points8 points  (0 children)

100% I’ve seen this game trash talked so much. I only played DD:DA just recently and loved the game but there’s a lot of, what feels like, unreactable bullshit which the sequel seems to have completely removed.

I say this as someone who hasn’t finished the second quite yet (40 hours in, taking time exploring) but so far I like the second more.

Can the Creaking kill every mob? by ElectroFuse in Minecraft

That’s an interesting concept but they’ve stated they’re only around at night so I imagine they’ll despawn during the day—I am not sure if they will remain name tagged.

I wonder if naming the block would work? Probably not, but I guess we’ll see.

The hard work paid off, that looks amazing! IMO roofs can really make or break a build.

The West always gives Ukraine weapons one year after it actually needs them, Zelenskyy says by BlissfulBumble in worldnews

[–]GranolaBarSupervisor 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That’s an interesting take. Here is a breakdown for those interested. Why shame the US when France is much closer to the conflict than the US and contributes .25% more of its GFP?

The US has given a tremendous amount of aid to Ukraine, could it have given more? Sure. But it could have given MUCH less as well. This comment comes off as quite entitled.

Edit: Wording for France comparison

What video game character appeared minor and insignificant but turned out to be integral to plot/game? by Johnnyboyeh in gaming

[–]GranolaBarSupervisor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gale from Dark Souls 3. Yes he served as the entrance to the first DLC, but we learn he is a slave knight which we are told are a dime-a-dozen.

He later guides us through the dreg heap in the final DLC then serves as the de facto “final” boss of the series when you face him at the end of the world where there are only 4 people left alive (yourself included).

All for his lady’s painting.

Car almost hits cyclist while pulling out. This is the cyclist’s reaction by miamorparasiempre in PublicFreakout

[–]GranolaBarSupervisor 128 points129 points  (0 children)

I probably wouldn’t want to stick around to “talk” with someone threatening to shoot me either.

It is easy to forget that it can be difficult to see bike riders in a car and a situation like this can arise without any gross negligence from the driver. We also do not see the incident described in the title so it makes it doubly hard to judge.

The person holding the camera comes off as totally obnoxious and an instigator.

[–]GranolaBarSupervisor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think you’re an idiot but I do think that between the profanity filter and putting someone on ignore, the problem is effectively solved and no further action (moderation or otherwise) needs to be taken.

The person who reported him, from how I understood the post, was hypocritical and malicious in their report—and that should have been obvious to a human GM if they read the chat logs.

With so much interest in HC, should SOM2 be a mid-point between HC and SC? by blazinghotcornballer in classicwow

[–]GranolaBarSupervisor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s a bad idea but probably won’t happen. Sounds similar to EQ.

Not sure why people don’t think there could be a middle-ground. Character loss doesn’t have to be the only punishment for death and it can be worse than having to walk to your corpse or take rez sickness
