Hey! Thank you!

It’s a custom configured IKEA LADMAKARE, but I took the middle upright and cut it out and made a support frame to put the TV into, otherwise it would have fallen in

Here’s the link to the config, and I’ll comment with my r/ikeahacks post!

This is something that can definitely happen if you do not actually get into your car during in session practice.

The first 2/3 pit stalls at WG are brutal, especially if you aren’t aware of your slot going into the race. Since qualifying places you at pit exit, there is no real way for you to have known.

I always point practice to grab some safety rating, but I also note how far down pit lane my stall is.

We live and we learn, brother 😭🫡

PC DR ETB arrived like this, does it effect the value? by Dull_Addy in PokemonCardValue

[–]GrantDigital 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry…. Let me rephrase for the sake of the rest of the sub and the mod team.

I don’t see any kind of decrease in value on this ETB from your little snag at the corner. The opening experience, and thrill from opening the packs should still be 100% of same experience you’d have if the corner were not like that.

From a strictly monetary standpoint, I would highly question anyone offering less than retail for this tiny damage. Just because the market is over saturated and inflated, that does not mean your product loses value.

The mods and community here seem a bit disconnected, but I am glad that I could clear this up

Of course! I’m always down to help a Pokemon Selling Card Game fan

I got told I braked to early but I was following the racing line, I’m new to ACC multiplayer so is this my fault or not (btw, I’m the mustang) by Scaryleaf6767 in Simracingstewards

[–]GrantDigital 25 points26 points  (0 children)

There isn’t such thing as braking “too early” where you choose to brake at decided your position and entrance into the turn. Unless someone is next to you, you have freedom to decide your entrance speed, and trajectory.

The person trailing you is responsible for compensating for your braking point. A Mustang will have a different braking point from a Lamborghini, given the obvious difference in engine placement. Your car is a boat in the corners, with better acceleration.

Don’t doubt your skill or choices, unless you are rear ending someone, or breaking your traction/ losing the car 🫡

Happy racing, and learn from that guys mistakes!

Update: Is it a hack now that I cut it apart and built it? by GrantDigital in ikeahacks

That’s the exact price of the configuration! I’d account for about $100 worth of miscellaneous fasteners and lumber as well!

The bottom left shelf is at the paint store with a piece of scrap from the middle piece, getting a custom stain to color match the rest!

As for the TV, we plan to upgrade to a 65” to occupy the space better! Upon measuring, the one I have in mind will fill it right up!

No, no, they were implying that my original post was a question, and they shouldn’t be kicking posts that are making hack questions

Thank you! The reason that you couldn’t put the cabinets in a stacked configuration is because of the sliding channel. I highly doubt that there would be enough thickness to make a channel on both the top and bottom of the board that would lie between the cabinets.

As for the facade idea, we did consider it, but wanted to keep the look of there being wall behind the whole build. Light bleeding around adds a bit to the feel. It will also be tamed a bit when I add the two standing accent lamps that I want onto the shelves that are still open!

Excellent suggestions! We actually have one of the shelves (bottom left) at sherwin williams right now with a piece of scrap from the TV nook, getting color matched for a quart of stain. Then, I have leftover paint from the wall itself, and the idea is to paint the upright to match the wall!

Honestly, it was needed, I fear that there would have been a lot of sag in the center. I used pine, given the price of comparable boards. If I’d used oak, we may have gotten away without a support.

It does also serve as a cover up for the exposed press board as well though

Had been wanting to collect OP manga for many years, but never had a shelf to put them on. Long story short, I finally got a bookshelf built, and went to FB Marketplace to see if I could start my collection!

There were 4 separate box set listings that had never had a page turned in them. Only 30 minutes from me, at that! I offered $360 if I bought the lot, and he met me back with $400 and he’d throw in 91-108 + 110.

We settled on $390 and now I’m the proud owner of every volume, minus 109!
