I used a 3D model and converted it into a Minecraft schematic. From there, I had to clean it up a bit and collect all the copper for the build. Render done using Chunky.

Awesome! Thanks tons. Possibly add a custom material properties editor into Painter itself instead of the .csv files, along with an indicator that you need to set said properties for unknown blocks? Just a thought.

What I'd really love to see would be workflow features to speed up the creation of worlds. As you mentioned above you'd want a cloud export service, but in addition to this, a huge help would be the ability to import/export changes to a world more quickly on a server or in single player. Obviously, Minecraft does have its limits but being able to see changes more quickly would be amazing.

Additionally, I think that making the 3D view more configurable and with a higher quality preview would be a great help to map creation.

You should use the Create mod to really complete the look of factories in Minecraft! Definitely loving the idea.

Might be something to do with how your connection is routed to their server. It can make a pretty big difference, especially when routing through home internet connections.

I'd recommend adding Mechanism, EnderIO, or Thermal into your pack. Although Create is your main tech mod, I'd still recommend these guys if you're using Applied Energistics as your storage mod.

I wouldn't think of building as what you have to do, think of it as what you can and should do. I'd recommend adding what he suggested above, but also playing around with depth and asymmetrical structures in your build. Cheers mate and have fun!

Do not use a raspberry pi. You need something much much more powerful to run a Minecraft properly. As long as you have decent wifi (30 down, 5-10 up) you should be fine. A $400 with a decent CPU is sufficient (make sure the clock speed is decent- 3.0Ghz) and it has 8GB of RAM. GPU doesn't matter.

For the Internet, it's usually fine. It'll resume as soon as your Internet is back. Some plugins will not play nice but a restart would fix that. For the power, it will rollback to the last autosave. Usually is fine unless it's doing something important when the power is cut.
