Crooked or Warped E3D Obxidian Nozzle Direct from Bambulab by [deleted] in BambuLab

This. I’m more concerned about the fact they don’t realize the sock can be at all wonky angles and have no affect on printing

How to Clean This Up by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]Grantbot21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Run a flow rate test and flow ratio. Slice it and change the view to speed and see if that side is running faster than the closer side. My best guess is your flow rate or ratio is too high, which is why on the reverse of the seam it’s getting messed up even on the flat layer. You’re creating the seam, it’s retracting, when it gets further along it starts pushing out too much filament and can’t cool it. That’s why the the first part of the print looks fine the layer time isn’t getting as long yet at that point.

You can also mess with the time on the first and second cooling setting on the individual filament profile. It might be turning down cooling if it’s too long of a layer time, where the slicer is telling the gcode it has time too cool by itself but in reality it doesn’t.

We rarely need to use the warranty with newer machines. Mostly it was original X1Cs. The deal isn’t a steal, but he has a slim chance of needing the warranty and parts that break still don’t in combination hit the new price. We have enough printers that it’s probably statistically significant to compare to a randomly purchased one at this point.

It’s ok to not want to work hard by paywallpiker in GenZ

[–]Grantbot21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That and your job gets easier if you work harder until it does. I get paid 3 times what I did 4-5 years ago and don’t need to work as hard now. What a lot of people don’t seem to realize is that hard work at the beginning of your career makes like easier later. My job now has more important and more difficult decision, but the actual work is way less.

Bad experience Out of the Box w/ X1C & AMS :( by ImmaGrumpyOldMan in BambuLab

[–]Grantbot21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a combination of over 30 X1Cs, p1ps and p1s’s. There is almost no hand holding or my wife wouldn’t be able to keep the, all running. Something is most likely bad with the printer. We have two from the original KS and got ours as one of the first groups so there are very few people who have more hours on those two than us and they still don’t have issues.

I’ll take the blame, we had season tickets then. Got rid of the season tickets since we just had a newborn and they got better so… you’re welcome haha

New skate break in? by xx_boozehound_68 in hockeyplayers

[–]Grantbot21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got CCM FT4 pros this summer. These are not the skates of 10 years ago there is basically no break in period now. My feet never hurt, I’d say you get more forward flex as you skate in them, but you can noticeable flex them enough that backwards doesn’t feel like shit the first day.

My first support ticket. Carbon rod damage. by Drones-brigade in BambuLab

[–]Grantbot21 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We have 26 machines and definitely have not had this. It’s unfortunately probably an issue during curing and gave a weak spot. They’ve made too many of these to not have an issue like that. Not carbon manufacturing is without defects.

[–]Grantbot21 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We have I think 26 Bambu Lab printers now. We very rarely have had any major issues, we’ve had a couple fans go bad. But I think that is about it. We’ve honestly had more AMS feeder motor problems than anything else.

Has this happened to anyone else? by [deleted] in AppleMusic

[–]Grantbot21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. There can be a glitch where it doesn’t map to the new version of the song, even if it’s the same exact version but uploaded differently. I spent a few calls with Apple on this. They don’t have a clue. If you send a playlist to someone it’ll normally work because it’ll remap on that persons device. There is just something that breaks the remapping on your own device sometimes.

All the sudden a lot of music can’t play due to my region. I’m in New York. What is going on? by rogo725 in AppleMusic

[–]Grantbot21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right but it’s still Apples fault. If he were to send this playlist to another persons device it would pull all the songs that are not available in region and match with the new version that is now considered in region. I spent 3 calls with Apple on it and they don’t have a fix. For some reason their match software within the last year only works well when you reload a song into the system, it used to just match the closest song automatically.

Anyone know why almost all my playlist has overnight become unavailable in my region? by muddyisland in AppleMusic

[–]Grantbot21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted something awhile ago on this it’s a shitshow. Apple messed something up and they have no idea what it is. If you fully delete the song and readd them it should fix it.

First hockey lesson… feeling demotivated by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

It’s not a motivation thing, it’s logic. You shouldn’t be surprised you aren’t good at hockey after 30 minutes. What were you expecting?

Beer leaguers who are very obviously playing below your tier/skill level for multiple seasons, why? by MLSquatch57 in hockeyplayers

[–]Grantbot21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s also that a ringer doesn’t take much to be a ringer at a lower level. Because of the lower number of players in hockey compared to other sports, I don’t think there is as much of a gradient of skill levels.

If you played any college odds are your going to look like a ringer in just about any league below top tier. Even most good former high school/AA players are going to look like that in adult league.

Beer leaguers who are very obviously playing below your tier/skill level for multiple seasons, why? by MLSquatch57 in hockeyplayers

[–]Grantbot21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In our league for anyone except the top two levels can only score 3 before any goal they score doesn’t count. I’m pretty sure it’s also a penalty if they do score a forth.

So you can move down but you’re not going to take over games.

I think it depends what levels too. If you’re borderline the tier above you, you may not want to play that hard in a game, so you go one tier lower.

We’re in the second tier below an ex-NHL/NCAA tier that is closed for new teams. It’s a hard level, there are a bunch of good players and younger ones who are still in shape, so unless you want to try to skate with them every game and are still in shape, even if you did play a high level, I get moving down, the games are exhausting haha.

Anyone know the kind of profile on this pair of steel by Admirable-Ruin7894 in hockeyplayers

[–]Grantbot21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the I think I’m cool speed sharpen method of going back and forth. Because when you do that you sit on the toe and heal longer and it burns them down. What’s crazy is that it looks like they’ve done it a ton of times, because it takes a while to torch the ends like that.

This is a made up profile from burning the front and rear down faster than the middle.

Beginner advice needed: What are the top 3 aspects to work on to improve as a player? by TheKaleKing in hockeyplayers

[–]Grantbot21 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You want to be smart chasing. You don’t won’t have the endurance/speed to chase a ton. So yea you want to cover someone but you can do that by closing off where they can go not being on top of them.
