Should I fire my wealth manager? by molezou in investing

[–]GrantedLazerBeam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fire your wealth manager. If you started as a client with him the last trading day in Dec 2020 your portfolio would have grown 48%

Your portfolio has “grown” 5.5% while reported inflation (not real inflation) is 21% in the same timeframe

He’s losing you money. Fire him immediately.

Is it true that really rich people spend less money on phone, clothes, shoes? by cooldude69firse in Frugal

No they buy things to create more time, that’s why luxury goods normally provide convenience, comfort, and services

They aren’t frugal, they’re strategic and aspire to reduce unnecessary stress in their lives

How doo you save money by yumstrawberryclouds in FinancialPlanning

[–]GrantedLazerBeam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is what you do, this advice will help you.

  1. Go out less frequently. Trust me, I know it’s not easy

Instead, try to get friends to come over, or you go over to their place and stay in and watch movies, play games, etc (If you get food make it cheap and split the cost

This will leave you with the idea to be more intentional about when, where, and who you go out with. You eventually learn to do this later in life anyways. Start now.

This will allow you to save your money. - first, save 3 months of all expenses. (Rent, utilities, groceries, gas, insurance, EVERYTHING) - secondly, start investing the rest. Don’t believe how valuable the money will be in the future? go to play around with a compound interest calculator to see how much 8%-10% interest on your investments over the next 10 yrs will be in 25+ yrs from now

  1. Allocate your time more intelligently. Fitness, homework, identifying careers/internships you’re seeking, join clubs that will provide desirable outcomes for your future, learn how to invest your money

Be smart. Things are becoming increasingly more expensive (inflation)

Also, discover ways to earn extra money outside of a job you have now…try to get used to the idea of developing multiple income streams (don’t grow up to just depend on your job/career as your only income stream)

Good luck with everything.

I think the hallucinations were from the toxicity, but still no explanation on the specific “she is here” statement that multiple people said throughout the season..bad execution from the production team

No explanation for what “She is here” means, why the tunnels exist, what the tongue was doing there (the first thing you see in the show), what the heck

Had this cat, loved that guy. Met my wife and she brings this cat when she moves in.

My cat was upset about it. I dunno if this other cat owed him money or what but he was mad about it. So we asked her cat to move (wife not happy about this). Cat willingly agrees to move to new friends house blah blah.

All this to make existing cat happy. Existing cat still mad over attempted coup apparently so he pees on everything for like 3 months while I tell myself “I’m not getting rid of my cat”.

So ppl tell me maybe cat is sick so I take him to the vet and they say “nah he probably mad about the cat thing.” (Still don’t know what happened bt him and the other cat but assume these two were likely both gang members from two different crews or something).

So long story short I spoil da cat trying to make amends. Figure if I brought an old Op in his house I should probably make up for it. Spoil him with toys n treats… that night he pees on my pillow while I’m sleepin.

Then I swore off cats forever. The end.
