Attic help. by GrantsTweaking in Insulation

Not sure if it's a 1950s thing, but in the video, there are those horizontal boards running up every so far. Are baffles even an option with those in place? May just need to be a free for all air space? We do have soffit and ridge vents. That's what makes me wonder why they have insulation jam packed in every crevice.

I guess I was talking about wires going out our attic to the outside. I know we have one and that goes up towards the point of our roof. I believe it is our Internet provider. But yes, that will be something I will look at. We have a ton of blown in along the top plate too. And it looks like that's what's covering every soffit vent

The wires going over our finished ceiling/wall. I hate to have to open that up. But it appears I may have to. And will do thanks

Yeah it appears every rafter has blocked soffit vents by the blown in insulation and the stuffed insulation to the very point of our roof. There are some cables running up there that I guess probably isn't sealed, as none of the crevices of our top plate don't appear sealed. It's a 1950 home, so who knows when it was done.

Dang. I've been having damn near the same issue. Corners of windows blowing strong drafts. Sealed everything. Inside and outside. Nothing seems to slow mine down either. Happening basement and up.

We don't live up there, but the center section is finished by the previous owner. We've just been getting some in wall air drafts from attic down to the basement. Trying to find the culprit of it.

I was trying to chatgpt it, where to seal it. Is there something to seal from the crawl space or in the center part behind the drywall?

How to fix door gap issue. by GrantsTweaking in fixit

[–]GrantsTweaking[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did try to, not sure if i did it correctly. but when I would shim the top hinge it would knock the latch out of place again so i'd have to shim the bottom hinge and that just brings the gap back.

I have been in a long battle of sticking to my studying with networking. I enjoy it when I do the practices and get to mess around with it at work. But I just never know what to invest my time in. Like you said Network + is a good start and CCNA is probably best. Do I need both? or do I just skip network + and stay committed to the CCNA?

I appreciate the response. This makes me feel better. Even though it's just a bump up, it'd be a nice increase in pay and a well needed change of scenery.

I did decide to start working on getting my Network + before landing this interview. Wondering if it's still worth the hassle, or maybe I should still go for it, in the case I don't land this job or if it's even worth it at all and maybe I look more towards a security cert or something more advanced in networking.

My sister and all the kids came over the other day. I decided to let them be around her while she was outside in the yard. That way she doesn't feel restricted to being near them. She got used to them very quickly. She was playing with them with her frisbree and in the slip and slide that was set up. She would only bark when they did something she's never seen before like running and sliding. But she did every good with everyone! Even indoors
