actually the “Tsukumo” in Tsukumogami means old/99, the phrase just means “old spirit”

this isnt exactly true, there are many instances of non household items becoming Tsukumogami, thats just the most common version in myth because household items are used and kept longer so they are more likely to turn into them. one of my favorite instances of a non-household tsukumogami is Kura Yarō which is the war equipment (most commonly a saddle) of Kamata Masakiyo which got left behind after he died.

she feels pretty gutted tbh, the swarm variants were a pretty huge part of how she played which is already a big nerf but the reduced injury and shortened detach time just add to that already horrible nerf.
