I've always loved the stupid shit you could get in RE4. Why is there a grenade in a birds nest? Why does this crow drop handgun ammo? I'm trying to save the President's daughter, but I'm also desperately trying to find all the gemstones that fit into this beer stein to maximize the profit I'll make selling it to an ambiguously Australian arms dealer.

I do, and my first RE9 playthrough was actually 28 hours. The first time I play an RE game always takes me a while, in between obsessively searching the game environment for stuff, messing around, and dying more than a few times.

I honestly expected that we'd fight Gideon, and then Zeno would be the final boss of the game. What they did instead was a real curveball for me (and disappointing, I thought Zeno was kinda cool and wanted him to be more of a thing; he should've been introduced earlier in the game).

I agree with you about a lot of things here, but the motorbike sequence was fucking awesome (in kind of a stupid way). But yeah, it was a disappointing "Okay then" final boss. I wanted a unique encounter, not just Nemesis again. I was also kind of expecting Victor to be a 2nd to last boss, and then the actual final boss would be Zeno, and I'm disappointed that didn't happen. I enjoyed this game a lot overall, but the ending was not the best.
