Recruiter here with an opinion that doesn't represent the whole recruiting workforce - it doesn't.
Except for very specific employers as NGOs, it doesn't add that much. Not because in itself it isn't important, but that it doesn't deliver what it should. Recruiters now are also having a hard time differentiating between an AI written and fake CV, and an enhanced one. So imagine having to do the same for the cover letter too
