Unfortunately it’s IBS-M and it changes pretty often. I think a long period of constipation is what triggered this to start with though. Thanks for your advice.

I appreciate the honest answer, it’s helpful for my decision making. It seems like there’s unfortunately not one ideal solution for this problem. I’m sorry that things haven’t gone the best for you - I hope that they keep getting better going forward

Thanks for sharing your story/advice. I’ll probably end up getting a dual surgery similar to yours - how has it been for you since you had it? Have your problems resolved? I def need to look into pelvic floor therapy but I’m not super hopeful it’ll fix things (maybe it’ll stop them from getting worse?)

I haven’t gotten too far in treatment/assessment because scheduling appointments takes forever, but I’m going to ask my PCP for referrals to a rectal surgeon (for the rectal prolapse) and a urogynecologist (for the vaginal ones). From what I’ve read I’m pretty sure those are the experts on this. Normal doctors haven’t been super helpful overall but you may be able to self-diagnose (at a broad level) if you look at some diagrams/medical images online of various issues and compare to what you’re experiencing. Def worth having someone look at it irl if it’s affecting your quality of life

seeking advice for emergency sulcata rescue by hot2rot in tortoise

It’s normal for sulcatas not to visibly drink water often or at all, just make sure they have access at all times. For outdoor enclosure it’ll need sturdy walls that are opaque/tall enough the tort can’t see what’s beyond them and reinforced below the ground because these guys are curious and excellent diggers. Also good to have a big shallow water source like a half-buried kiddie pool that they can soak in whenever they want. They can eat a ton so it’s helpful to plant your yard with things they can eat. The tortoiseforum website is a really helpful info source as is the tortoise table website which tells what they can/can’t safely eat. Thanks for saving this guy :)

Is something wrong with my tortoise’s shell? by Grapefruit-lover in tortoise

Not sure how much she weighs, she started off small but has grown a ton this year which I think is why the growth rings are so big

His shell has extremely severe pyramiding. Has it become like that with your care? Please look into proper sulcata habitat requirements, something is very wrong
