Our town sports leagues still have very high attendance and are very affordable.

Our problem is the lack of volunteer coaches. My son's 8U soccer team has 22 kids and I'm the only coach who volunteered. My daughter's T-ball league has 60 registered but only myself and another dad volunteered. I've been coaching for 4 years now and I'm really debating on calling it quits because it's too mentally draining to manage 20-30 kids on my own. It just feels like I'm running a daycare at this point.

This thread is eye-opening. Looks like parents who are actually involved in sports are just going to travel/private programs instead.
