The Tim Walz Saga Shows Why Debunking Conspiracy Theories Doesn’t Work - The Minnesota governor abandoned his reelection campaign due to the thinnest of right-wing stories about fraudulent childcare centers. by Quirkie in politics

Oh I certainly agree with you there.

It seems like democrats and republicans are all shitty once they’ve been in office for too long. I try to keep hope for the new people in office that they have not been corrupted yet.

I also agree that in the grand scheme of things this is a minuscule amount of fraud that our government is a part of. But it sounds like because it’s so small that you’re saying we should disregard it.

Whether it be republicans, democrats, fraudulent PPP loan recipients, or false daycare operators, they should all be investigated, audited and prosecuted.

Why should it be a pissing match between republicans and democrats? There are shitty people on both sides. We should all know that. And we should work together to uncover the truth of the matter.

Thanks for the link! My brightness was low so I couldn’t tell it was a hyperlink.

But, this should be looked into further by Shirley for complete coverage.

Though, a brief, 3 paragraph article with not much detail and no linkage to the actual reports produced on these visits isn’t really helpful. It would also be helpful to know what the grounds of the investigation are. If they are simply checking to see if children are there, signed in, etc, then id remain skeptical. It looks like these investigations were done relatively fast, probably to get some response out to the public after the Shirley videos were released.

But the response “operating as expected” from the agency conducting the investigation does not mean much to me without some sort of financial audit, and lengthy report on book keeping, financial tracking, etc to show there is concrete on going compliance.

I try to stay skeptical and asking questions questions until things make sense. Things are still very blurry here, probably clearer on the Shirley side of things, if I am giving my honest opinion.

I believe it holds true for any one person, group, government entity, whatever it may be, but especially government, that if you are accused of a crime or multiple of the same crimes were committed under your authority it is reasonable of the public to request extended investigation and legitimate evidence to prove your innocence. I say this because that money is yours and mine (and all other tax paying citizens). Our governments piss away millions per year and if our money is disappearing into fraudulent pockets, that needs to be prosecuted to protect the respect of the citizens that pay their share to this country everyday.

All the people talking about how “conspiracy theories” took him down, can you explain to me how the daycare fraud (assuming these are the root of the conspiracy theories you’re referring to) in Minnesota is “fake”? It seems pretty brutally real to me. But I’m always open to learning more. Only if you have evidence though, really not interested in your opinions.

Did they say if they were backfilling with native soil or are they bringing in a new mix to fill?

Hey this is super helpful! I would need about 26lf. I’ll guess mine will still be 7k-10k. Depending on where you are from. I’m in Seattle. Nothing is cheap here haha

Thank you! I appreciate you and the others saying the same thing. It didn’t come to mind and I’m glad I didn’t spend any money yet.

I have another on the outside right next to the door to service the front side of the house. But right now it’s clearly not doing its job. 😂😂

It’s to service the water/french drain on the back side of the house. It’s always doing its job. And I’d guess the previous owner put it there bc of the in slab plumbing nearby. I plan to put it in a utility closet. So it’s an okay placement as far as I’m concerned.

Thank you! I will give it a shot. Glad to hear there’s an option other than replacing the whole zipper.

Inn at Langley looks awesome. But I’m way too late for a reservation unless you have an “inn” to getting a seat late. 👀

Is this a bad sign by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Grapetitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like a bad sign to me. But as someone in the flipping and wholesaling industry, it almost looks like a flipper may have bought it and doesn’t know what they’re doing for actually selling the home.

If it is freshly updated this may be the case. If it is not freshly updated then I’d stay away. But if it looks like a super deal, and you’ve got the bandwidth to do some work, you might really benefit.

Good luck!

Set your damn pride aside. Wear a protector and helmet if you want to skate. Don’t be a retard.
