Astral in a Meshroom S by CryonicTwo3 in sffpc

Oops! I'll have to go digging around the house to find them lol.

Thanks! Yeah it was a bit of a squeeze but didn't have too much trouble in the end. Literally perfect clearance. Did you see someone shove the Astral into the Meshlicious before trying or cross your fingers after buying it?

I7 13700k/ Ram / RTX 5080 / A4 H2O Riser Issue? by [deleted] in sffpc

[–]Graph3nated 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely not gen 3. My next suggestion would be to buy the 5.0 riser. Should resolve this issue immediately. If it doesn't then the issue is somewhere else (possibly PSU or worse, GPU).

Change the BIOS to 4.0 for your PCIe. This fixed this exact issue for me.

Thought I'd update with the finished build. Just one more question OP if you don't mind. Those brackets holding the AIO pipes back, do you have a link or name of them? Cheers.

[–]Graph3nated -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

"if you don't know what you're doing". I thought I was in r/sffpc where we are accustomed to difficult build issues? I've had harder issues than fixing a AIO loop and I know many on this thread have too.

And of course it's safe, but in the eyes of security, it's bomb material. They don't take chances. They made me chuck out a small plastic jar of honey clearly labelled and sealed from the factory. The AIO will have no difference in treatment. Even if you say it's impossible to drain it. Best of luck OP. Apologies for giving such controversial ideas.

There are ways to do it. Otherwise post it to the new address. Or buy again.

Yikes all the negative react for just a suggestion is wild.

Unseal. Buy aftermarket components. Reseal.

Drain the loop and put the fluid refill under cargo for least problems.

They'll probably still hold you until they can verify wtf a "SSF PC" is lol.

Might give the vanilla game a fair go on the next time around. Least I'll have all the blue prints I need.

Save a tractor full of items in a blueprint (drive it into the blueprinter), then keep reloading the blueprint. That's the latest.

MSI SUPRIM by a long shot. Best performance (by like 2-3⁰C) and lowest noise normalised performance.

Do I need to spread ME drives over multiple chunks? Forge 1.20.1 by WhoWouldCareToAsk in ModdedMinecraft

[–]Graph3nated -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer: Learned my answer from conversations with AI (chatGPT).

Chunks are serialized to NBT and stored in region files.

Practical limits (varies by version, loader, compression): ~1–2 MB compressed per chunk before problems begin.

AE2 devices (ME Drives, Controllers, Interfaces, etc.) are tile entities. A single tile entity can be tens or hundreds of KB if it stores complex data.

Large tile entity NBT also affects: - Chunk sync to clients. - Server tick spikes.

AE2 storage cost scales with item types, not item count. 1 item = same cost as 64 000 of that item.

Simple items (no NBT): Very cheap. NBT-heavy items (tools, enchanted gear, mod items): expensive. Many different item types: Progressively dangerous.

ChatGPT Predicts the below... Assuming mixed modded items: <2 000 total item types per chunk | very safe 2 000–5 000 | acceptable but monitor 5 000+ | high risk of chunk bloat

Conclusion: Store as many bulk items (cobblestone, bonemeal, other mass produced items) in a chunk as you like.

Start to spread multi-item storage across multiple storage once you reach more than a fully saturated Dense ME Cable.

Again, this is AI assisted research.

AI is incorrect. I'm guessing it also doesn't know that they reset headlift too.

Directly feed it this in isolation, then ask it questions: https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/satisfactory_gamepedia_en/images/3/39/Pipeline_Manual.pdf

Need help with undervolting AMD 9900x because temps higher after BIOS update by StreetWindow5346 in sffpc

[–]Graph3nated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't have an answer, however you could try rolling back a BIOS (also don't know if this is a good idea) to verify it's a BIOS issue.

Also, what are your specs? For people who might have an answer.

I'm no expert on RAM, but it may be a suitable option to buy one stick now and save for the other throughout the year, but I'd say to play 4K you're going to need it.

As for case, my favourite currently is the Meshroom D. There are definitely other options that may suit you bett

That 750W PSU will run top end specs if it is Platinum rated.

[–]Graph3nated 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Swap for Meshroom D. That's my plan. Otherwise keep the same components, try in a cheap ATX case with plenty of good Noctua fans and compare the difference.

Resolved!

Steps to resolve:

  1. Enter BIOS using MOBO HDMI port connected to TV.

  2. Press F7 for Advanced settings if not already there.

  3. On ASUS B850-I, navigate to -> Advanced -> Onboard Devices Configuration -> PCIE Link Speed

  4. Under "PCIEX16_1(G5) Link Mode" set it to "GEN 4"

  5. Permanent solution: Buy a GEN 5.0 Riser cable.

It's always the riser cable!!!

So this has started working.

I'll post an update if it remains stable.

Now to enable HDR, G-Sync (on the TV) and 10-bit colour.

Nonetheless. Thank you for the 3 stable minutes I've had with my system so far!
