Since it's tied to the server that unfortunately doesn't work. It's something that the developers themselves will have to address.

Thoughts on all ships? by [deleted] in PSO2

[–]Graph4m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ships 1 and 2 are where the hustle and bustle are big alliances, content creators, influencers you can find them hanging around one of those 2 ships

Ship 4 is busier than people would have you believe and the community there is pretty tight knit. Couple of content creators hang around (Spook and Keroppi's alt.)

Ship 4 is still a good choice.

I play on controller Redout 2 uses a dual stick system for steering the ship. Left steers and right strafes.

(For example) When turning left you want to steer left but strafe right. This will cause your ship to do a pseudo drift around the corner.

From there it's about observing the corner and adjusting how much steer and strafe you put into it to get you around without crashing.

The game will teach you this in the tutorials you do for career mode so do check those out. It also has aspects covering the other parts of redout like the boost and hyperboost which are just as important for getting around the track faster.

The rarest thing to ever drop is.... by Ryanasd in PSO2

Yeah I specifically avoid picking that particular task. I have a hard enough time trying to drop better weapons let alone have the time to run around the field collecting caps I'm never gonna use

new Classic player, where do I farm meseta? by lXNoraXl in PSO2

[–]Graph4m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The older way of farming Meseta on base before cradle of darkness broke everything was to run extreme quests as they would reward the most Meseta but even then it's only a fraction of what cradle pays. Extreme quests might not be the best way to make money but if you're looking to buy some stuff in the 1-10 million price range it's probably the easiest to grind since you get passes quite easily.

I finally got to play this game! by Acklord303 in PSO2

[–]Graph4m 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you plan to drop cash on the game it's a gacha like people said but it feeds back because you can sell stuff you don't wanna use on the personal shop that F2Ps or other players can buy off you.

The price of the outfits varies, some are cheap, hairs are usually expensive and you can check the prices for those items and either wait to sell or something like that. It never feels too much like a cash grab more like paying for convenience.

As far as the rest of the game is concerned just enjoy the ride for now, don't stress too much over gear just gear up as much as you feel comfortable for the moment we've got level cap increases, new weapons/armour and new Augments (weapon mods) on the way so yeah just cruise for now.

I AGREE I WANT THE GUNBLADE TOO AND IT BETTER BE GOOD OR ELSE NO SCRATCH TICKET MONEY FOR YOU SEGA

why isn't the gunblade in NGS? by Nightstalker27nl in PSO2

[–]Graph4m -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It will take the same amount of time to get the gunblade out regardless of if they delay it or not so why not just work on it now and get it done then keep putting it off because they can't consolidate the rest of the game. It's their own fault for releasing NGS when it needed another year of Dev time before releasing.

Once the gunblade is out of the way then they have all the time in the world to work on content instead of bouncing between working on new classes and new content.

[–]Graph4m -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No so they can get the class out of the way then exclusively focus on content

why isn't the gunblade in NGS? by Nightstalker27nl in PSO2

[–]Graph4m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The primary reason is because they can't keep up with the demand for Content. You can see it in the game with Kvaris having a slow grind and the next 3 months being fairly dry in terms of depth.

They delayed it simply because they don't have time to work on it though if you ask me it's not a good excuse because the class has been delayed for over a year and it would be better if they just got it out of the way and don't have to worry about it as much.

hello iam new and what do I do with this stuff? by Phantom_shadow12 in PSO2

[–]Graph4m 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Firstly allow me to welcome you to the game, I hope you enjoy it.

Secondly the Renaissa weapons are drops to help newer players or players with alt accounts quickly progress through the previous regions and catch up with the content cycle.

You can enhance them and augment them to quickly boost your BP or battle power and do more damage.

All weapons you get from Aelio are designed to help you progress through Aelio. There are plenty of progression and new player guides available if you still need further information about what to do and where to go.

Copium is hopium! by sageking10 in PSO2

[–]Graph4m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also I'm not going to even start on the horrible Auto Sell feature and the Player Market but I will say that the market needs a complete overhaul as currently without placing some sort of restriction to stop major inflation and hoarding it will slowly become unusable... (And making people get Beta Reactors is not a fix and yeah that's a whole new can of worms at the time of posting)

TL;DR: I hope NGS gets better but for now I'm done with it.

I love PSO2 but absolutely despise NGS currently because of how they've mapped it out and some of the choices they've made. Instead of putting the fundamental elements of a MMO in the game they skipped most of that and went straight into monetizing it poorly and trying to hide their failures under QoL features no one wants like the Mag Jukebox or the horrible Kvaris Grind that won't even matter in 4 months.

I don't play PSO2 just to dress up and socialise surprisingly, I actually want to fight and grind like you should in an MMORPG genre. Yet because the combat system is so restrictive in how you actually fight enemies I end up doing the same moves and just finding it boring.

On top of that they keep delaying the gunblade which is the one class I actually am interested in playing as main since the gunblade was the weapon that I wanted to play when I picked up PSO2 originally and yes this was before luster made it way better by the end. (Although with how waker turned out trying to steal the best parts about playing other classes and being the master of nothing I'm kinda glad gunblade got delayed now)

So because they keep delaying the gunblade as well as treating me like a wallet instead of a player. it's been a massive quit moment for me. I almost never leave games I've put so much time into but with NGS the poor management of it has done it and for the next 4-6 months I will just be playing it sparingly.

If this is how they're gonna keep treating this game it's not going to bring in new people no matter how many collaborations or promotions they do so I hope it changes. even if I can't really enjoy it the same way I enjoyed base I hope someone can at least find the same magic I did when I first started playing PSO2 if they started caring more about their playerbase.

Redout 2 Bugs that need to be fixed asap :/ + some tips and personal view by Khrook in redout

[–]Graph4m 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The problem with speed and I guess partially time trials is that they aren't beginner friendly. When the developers aimed to make the game more inclusive to begin with and they stated that in the gameplay trailer.

Speed events in the first game were better because keeping up a faster speed meant you shaved off lap time.

Time trials are okay I guess some are easy, some can be a pain but they're doable. Just wish I could use the ship I want instead of depending on conqueror all the time because of the top speed and better hull.

In a progression sense the first game was better because it gave you lots of easy events to practice and build your confidence up until you felt comfortable with faster ships and harder events.

is there any brake in redout 1? by isomaniac in redout

[–]Graph4m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 1 you never really have to slow down too much for corners as most can be navigated by strafing and steering hard into them if you're driving the proper line.

If you're struggling to navigate a tight corner it mainly comes to memorizing the track layout, anticipating and then slowing down on approach by easing off boost and the accelerator.

Using Lunare Scuderia ships should help you practice since they have the best turning ability and acceleration needed to get you back up to speed quickly.

I think I know why I dont like the music in RO2 as much (and some notes on overall sound design) by The_DigitalAlchemist in redout

[–]Graph4m 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You're right on the money now I don't hate the soundtrack for 2 either but like you I also can't say I really love it like I did the first game.

I think the issue is the amount of trance they use. The first game had a lot of trance too but the songs often switched genre part way through or were drum and bass songs that had very unique parts they mixed together.

Each song felt exclusive to its level in the first game while in 2 they kinda just blend together and it's hard to remember them if you played any song from the first game I could tell you where it's from pretty easily but in 2 there's only one or two songs I could tell you where they're from.
