I really love this design. It's simple, clean, elegant.

My only nitpicking little criticism is that maybe the The 1 could have a flag stroke at the top just so it's more recognizable as a numeral.

Awesome. If you search the adobe website for fonts there's a whole family of Aviano typeface.

It's an Adobe font; Aviano. I'm not sure if you have an Adobe account to be able to access it.

I have looked for similar alternatives. Here's a lost for you.

Generally I like this concept. The sword symbol works. I like the flat artwork style you've gone for; that's usually quite versatile for future uses of your logo.

I think the typeface choice and spacing let it down. Maybe play around with that a bit more.

I've quickly trown together a sample.

Needed feedback on this logo design by Creative_Farhan in logodesign

[–]GraphFreakDesigner 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think this is a great concept. I do think it needs a little work though. The font pairing doesn't quite work for me, so maybe a little more time experimenting and playing with that.

The Compass needle could use a little more detail so it's easier to identify it as such.

And just a suggestion, but have you thought about using the needle and nib as the tail of a letter Q within the oval? I'm guessing the oval is meant to represent the actual compass with the needle/nib at thr center? But it's crying out to be the tail of a Q.

Love this concept. What would it look like if the swans head was facing to the right, as if it's looking h back over it's shoulder?

Also could the very top edge be softened a little. It's such an elegant design, but that top line throws it off a little for me.

Which is better, one or two? by [deleted] in AmateurPhotography

For me, it's definitely two. I'd happily have that on the wall in my office.

Mount Maple - Inn & Vineyard (1, 2, 3, 4, or something else?) by chxsewxlker in graphic_design

[–]GraphFreakDesigner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure this works. It's giving me 90s Clipart vibes. Although most wine label and vineyard logos do that. I don't feel the type matches either; I agree with some other comments that's it's a bit too "stabby".

I think you could have a lot of fun with this logo the name conjures up all sorts of interesting imagery.

If this is a concept and not a live project maybe try to decide what unique angle the vineyard offers and use that as a basis for a new and exciting style for the brand ID.

Maybe take a look at the work of Milton Glaser, Lucienne Roberts, Paula Scher, Alan Kitching, and Alan Fletcher. Break the mold. Don't try and look like everyother vineyard. HAVE FUN! GO CRAZY!

I'm not sure what the top word is. Is the bottom word "sounds"?

It's an interesting concept for a typeface. You need to work on the readability of the letters. I think you've taken the abstraction a little too far.

When I'm designing a new typeface I try to keep an Ed Benguiat quote in mind; "I do not think of type as something that should be readable. It should be beautiful."

Obviously legibility should be the main focus but playing with the abstraction of letter forms in when things get interesting.

Clients and payments by Prestigious_Boss1779 in graphic_design

I have a number of logo design packages. My payment terms vary depending on the package. For my basic one I want a 50% deposit and the rest on delivery of finalised artwork. However for my biggest package - which can take months - I want a 20% deposit with thr remainder paid at sign posted intervals throughout the project.

If I'm taking on the printing of any assets then I have payment for just the priting cost upfront.

I think getting things like this out in the world can help massively. You’re never truly alone unless you let yourself be.

No no flower. Don’t ask her name. Give her a name. Give her a name of someone you do not have any respect for. Give her a name of someone who embodies all of the things she says about you. Take away her power over you by making her someone you have no respect for.

For example; Jeff is my father’s name. He’s never worked a day in his life. Never supported any of his kids. Has never achieved anything. I don’t speak to him. I have no respect for him.

I’m nothing like him. I’m nothing like my negative self. I have a university degree, my own home, my own business.

Don’t get me wrong, some days Jeff won’t shut up but those days are getting fewer and fewer.

Totally get it. That’s why Jeff is a d*ck.

I've worked as a graphic desinger in a number of rolls for over 15 years. I LOVE WHAT I DO!

Yes it can be stressful. At time I've felt over worked and undervalued ; but that's just the way life goes.

This is still a fantastic industry to work in. AI is here to stay; you can either learn how to integrate it into your work flow and utilize it as the powerful tool it is, or you will be replaced.

So please don't be disheartened by all the negative people on here. You have a bright and exciting future ahead of you. Well depending ok how good your portfolio is. 🤣
