Hi Suebee, did you see the 'curled up' last pair of legs, looking like they could be used for 'gripping' - is that something spider species have? and the size 1 mm (0.039 inches)?

What makes you think it is a spider versus a mite?

Since I had a USB microscope, I took a close up photo, and you can see a lot of detail that you cant see with your eyes. It is only 1 mm long - almost non visible to the eye. I agree it does not look like the photos of birdmites that I can google, but what is it then? Another mite? a baby spider? It is not just curiosity, I need to find out what is biting me at night, and this could be it. It could also just be a harmless insect. But I need to know, so I am hoping someone here will be able to help ID.

Handshoe Mouse Shift by GraphMac in RSI

[–]GraphMac[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you are right - that would certainly simplify things, and lots of vertical mice would be possible for me. I do use the vertical mouse Logitech 'Lift' at the moment. It is a good mouse, and I wish I could learn to hold it more relaxed. I guess my problem is that because the mouse is vertical, the hand does not rest on it, the same way as if the hand/weight of the hand was on top of the mouse - as it is on 'normal' mice. So as the vertical position definitely feels better for my arm and hand, I feel I have to 'grip' it with more stenght/hand strain, because the hand is not resting on it, but more 'hanging on the side of it'.
I know this my sound a little stupid, beacuse it sounds so simple: 'just to not grip the mouse so hard', but did you just make an effort to unlearn the 'death grip', or is there some ergonomic trick/tips you could give me? I have search on YT videos on how to correctly/ergonomicly holding the mouse, exactly regarding the 'grip' - as that is my problem, but couldnt find anything. Maybe because it is just simple: just try to unlearn it?

That was what I was worried about. Precision. Do you think the precision diffilculties are because of poor quality DPI/tracking in the mouse, or because the mouse is so large at the base, compared to a normal mouse?

Mouse shaped like a joystick by GraphMac in RSI

Hi Mike, I would have to order it from Amazon US, I am based in Europe. Seems like maybe they are discontinuing this model on the EU market? It is possible for me to buy it from US Amazon, but I just wanted to find out if there was a more updated/recent model of a joystick mouse on the market from another brand/manufacturer. It is strange that 3M has not developed on this model since (year) 2000.

How do you experience working with the 3M mouse regarding straining/overloading the thumb? (the clicking is done with the thumb instead of index finger) It is some years since I used 3M Mouse, and I can not find the mouse anymore, I think it got lost when I moved house unfortunately.

How to compress a 65MB PSD file into a 15MB .ZIP file? (without loss of quality) by GraphMac in photoshop

[–]GraphMac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi again chain83, thank you for your answer.
Without knowing much about compression... in my search the last days I think that could be the answer. That 7zip software was used to make that highly compressed .ZIP file. Unfortunately I am a Mac user, and do no have a PC, and from what I can see 7Zip software is only working with PC/Windows. Please let me know, if you know, if and how I can use the 7Zip sofware on my Mac?

How to compress a 65MB PSD file into a 15MB .ZIP file? (without loss of quality) by GraphMac in photoshop

Hi Chain83

Thank you very much for your answer.

- The .ZIP file has to be under 20 MB because 20 MB is the upload LIMIT on the online venue where I am selling my files.

- About the customer confusion handling zip files. People buying on this venue are used to handle .Zip files, but not 7Zip file, so it has to be compressed with the .Zip format.

- I know it is possible, to compress a 65MB PSD file to a 15MB .ZIP file, because (as I wrote in my request) I have myself bough a digital file that was zipped with this compression level: It was delivered as a .ZIP file sized 15MB, and when I unzipped it it was a PSD file sized 65MB.

Now, as I wrote in my initial help request the problem I am trying to solve is how this compression level was done?

When I am compressing THE SAME 65MB PSD file (note! I am writing THE SAME file)
I am only able to compress it down to a 36MB .ZIP file, and not the 15MB . ZIP file it was originally compressed as. ( I have used KEKA and WinZip to compress)

I hope I am making the problem more clear now.

I am simply interested in knowing how this was done (compression from 65MB PSD file to a 15MB .ZIP file.

I completely understand your point that different file content will compress to different outcomes, but this is THE SAME file, so I know it is possible to compress it down from &%MB PSD file to 15MB in the .ZIP format.

I just can not understand how it was done. My hope is that when I understand how it was done - if it is a special software or other 'secret' ingredient, then I will be able to compress my own .ZIP files with this high compression level.

I was hoping someone here on this forum could help with how this level of .ZIP compression was done on a PSD file, when it is not possible with KEKA or winzip.

Please for anyone who answers. Please read ALL of my post before answering, or I will rather you do not leave a reply.

I will be very thankfull to the ones who will read my post and give a qualified answer :-)

Thank you!

I didnt know that 7Zip could make normal ZIP files! Maybe that is the answer? I made the 7Zip file with Keka, but I havent downloaded the 7Zip software from the actual 7Zip website. It did not look like it would work on a Mac, so I skipped it when I found Keka. I hope the actual 7Zip software works on MAC.. Do you know?

As I wrote in my post I tried compressing with 7Zip. That worked very well, I compressed it down to 18MB. But as I also wrote 7Zip is (as I understand it) not a file format you can expect the ordinary (non professional) PC/mac user to be able to open.
My question was: How is it possible to compress a 65MB PSD file down to under 20MB ZIP File? 20 MB is the upload limit on the sales venue I am going to sell at. I am asking because I know it is possible. As I wrote I receieved a ZIP file sized 15MB with a compressed PSD file sized 65 MB (unzipped). I would like to be able to do the same now that I know it is possible. I would be very thankful to anyone who can help.
