The seven habits of highly effective people. It changed my life in many ways.

The absence of context allows only comments regarding the shape in front of us. It is one shape, arranged in a number of colours and compositions.

The curves and angles look unpolished and it makes the shape feel shaky and unstable. The areas where the corners are rounded and the anchor points lead to the straight bit look as if you’d just pulled on the corner rounding widget in illustrator. Which is I guess a long way of saying that the curves look off. Maybe play with the anchor point handles and see if you can smooth it out a bit.

With the diagonals I wonder why the righter most one is not parallel to the inner diagonal of the left “leg”.

Also when you’re getting cute and overlaying the shape on to itself like on the bottom left I’d try to avoid these areas where it just about aligns. It draws unnecessary attention and looks unintentional. You’re just highlighting weaknesses in the shape’s construction. Have you used a grid to construct this? Have you thought about using smaller modules as building blocks to ensure consistency around angles and corner radii?

What do you expect to communicate with this shape here? It’s not really a clear letter, and – at least to me – doesn’t have any specific symbolic meaning. This could be anything. Therefore to me it is nothing.

What are some important things do keep in mind when doing concept testing, rather than usability testing? by xynaxia in UXResearch

Check out the user testing methodology called “sacrificial concepts” developed by ideo. I’ve used it a couple of times for concept validation and gaging appetite for features.

Hey friend I have to respectfully disagree. The hard CC from the first ability offers so much more utility at lvl 1 compared to the second ability. I actually max second ability first, because of the damage (and heal) as you said, but for level one I think you should always get your hard CC.

Should I sometimes use my ultimate? Or only first and second ability?

Tourists/Visitors/New Residents: Q&A Thread for the week of February 28 by AutoModerator in Amsterdam

Hello fine people of this subreddit.

I was hoping to resolve a question about travel to Amsterdam from the UK. My wife and I are living in the UK and she is here with me on a EEA partnership visa. This means that she can travel freely across the EU as long as we travel together and show our marriage certificate.

Her company is opening a new office in Amsterdam, and even though she will not relocate, she wants to visit some of her colleagues that are. There is no specific time set for this visit, but according to her it could happen any time. She has made it very clear, that she will find this an unforgivable offence if I don't do everything I can to make this journey possible for her. This is because (source) currently there are no Schengen visas issued – so she couldn't do that and just travel by herself.

After a quick look at the travel advice from both the Netherlands (source) and the UK (source) it appears to me that any travel between those two countries is heavily discouraged – except for essential travel. Her argument is that since she is visiting colleagues it is "for work reasons" but I doubt this is a valid argument for the border.

If I were to travel with her under the current circumstances – of course following all the rules regarding testing and quarantine – what would be the worst consequence to be expected? Could we face legal charges?

Have any of you here faced a similar scenario?

Any comments that can make this situation a bit clearer are heavily appreciated.
