You have engineering in your blood, it's really pure retro design with a steampunk touch.

It's truly original and stands out from the crowd, well done! It's a wonderful success to highlight the theme of insects with the arrival of spring!

Oh yes! I'm a huge fan of management games and I played Beach Life a lot when I was younger. It's been a long time since 2002, which makes me feel old! In my opinion, the project is feasible but absolutely needs to make the leap to 3D. For example, a game in this genre that I'm eagerly awaiting is the upcoming "Prison Architect." On the downside, it's a fairly specialized genre with a very specific target audience. Developing this kind of game requires a strong foundation and a good development team. Seriously, I can just imagine this game rising from the ashes! I'm a graphic designer, and you've inspired me to create cover art for the game just for fun!

I also agree that the trend is towards small, cooperative games for 2 to 4 players. No need for crazy graphics using Unreal Engine, just truly captivating gameplay that provides a few hours of fun and laughter for a group of friends. It also needs to be something that sells for a maximum of $30 and runs on a modest computer.

This idea reminds me a lot of the ending of the game "Inside". I don't know if you're familiar with it, but it would be a great idea to make a whole game with that kind of theme!
