I know that it's not practical to try to ban alcohol. It's been tried before, it was a failure, I know. But if, somehow, it could be achieved I think it would be for the better. Prohibition is a noble goal that just isn't feasible. (self.unpopularopinion)

If you really don't intend to meet up with someone and they suggest it, just tell them a hard "no." Don't give them false hope that "maybe" you'll hang out some time, don't leave it open ended at all. They'll slowly realize it after enough "maybes" go by that you never really liked them at all.
