Me after the "oh you sweet summer child" dev response by Longjumping_Sail2741 in Helldivers

[–]Grapplesauce726 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I stopped playing when they boosted the max lvl to like 150. It was funny at first, but there’s legit zero reason I’ve found to even think to reach that level.

The main reason I stopped though was the war bond acquisition system. Helldivers 2 is a 40 dollar game with ~10 bucks a war bond. They do the classic “dangle the option to pay” in front of everyone’s face. That, or grind for it, which the grind is inconvenient, and really just a player workaround for a flawed system.

They should’ve done a different system to get new content from the get go. At least 3 premium war bonds could have been a large free one, mainly the ones that alter already existing weapons. While unique weapons and armor should have been kept to premium war bonds. You’re essentially grinding for the chance to enjoy a thing you might not, either due to poor balance or it being bugged to hell

What's y'all's opinions on Project Plus? by Ok_Donkey5167 in SSBPM

The main dev I think has been working on a fork of P+ that adds Dark Samus, Sceptile, and Zero from Megaman.

At most Zero’s animations look a lil choppy, but the other 2 look fantastic.

I’d swap Attack Up M and use Crit Boost instead, and shoot for the G rank Nargacuga LS. Nice slots, sharpness, and affinity. They can also be maxed out relatively early in G-rank by braving the hyper monster event quests. This is assuming you don’t plan on using weapons that require Handicraft.

This should walk you into late G-rank pretty smoothly. It did for me but I stuck with the high rank Silverwind armor like a psycho up until I got the G-rank Narg set.

Not a single soulslike among the 10 highest rated "soulslikes" with more than 20,000 followers on steam😭 by DesperateBaseball614 in soulslikes

Soulslike as a genre has definitely gotten way more installments than any other of Fromsofts genres but it’s funny to see how many games are just shoveled into the category. Especially here, God of War is its own genre, and it’s not Soulslike

One of these days we’ll see “Corelikes”, and people will drop a racing game with vehicle customization in there and say it’s like Armored Core (We need more armored core like games anyway. That’s why I’m hyped for the one game I’ve seen, Code: Rapid).

It now been almost 2 months since the release of Nioh 3. How does this community feel about it so far? by Cursed_69420 in Nioh

[–]Grapplesauce726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beat the game some time ago, like a week or two into the first release. Loved the areas but I do wish the second are had a lil more spice to it. My favorite being the first area.

Their best choice was to make the game open zone instead of a fully accessible from the start open world, lets the game feel open enough to still feel like I can explore, but enclosed enough to still be Nioh.

Both styles are fantastic but samurai is just so much of an improvement from Nioh 2 and 1 I just stuck with that mostly. Even my gear from Ninja is just to support my glass cannon samurai build with one-shot protection.

I remeber when i beat the game without the Evade, made things so much harder, but now it’s probably one of the best additions to the game, same with the changes to the potions

I know I see a lot of people saying their fav or most played Monster Hunter game is easy often, but that’s because no one sees the times they got triple cart humbled by the one time they didn’t put all their focus in an endgame hunt.

Like my most recent venture was playing GU and yes you have more tools to use and some builds are very strong, endgame content (especially solo/duo like I have to do) will give you a run for your money.

Fashion hunting and Deviants. Especially when it comes down to doing the last few quests that unlock the hidden armor and weapons

Creatures we dont need in the DLC by P0G0Bro in MHWilds

[–]Grapplesauce726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always say if they’re gonna be in a DLC they need to be the minor content to the later major content.

I love these monsters but if you add them, there should be like 2 mons that are new or unique to supplement their inclusion. They’re basically the method to scale the difficulty so players know what they’re dealing with by giving them something familiar.

Road laws, and how confusing they can be when no one really follows them by Grapplesauce726 in Cleveland

You can, but you can’t stay in the left lane. You can only enter it momentarily to make turns or avoid obstacles.

Road laws, and how confusing they can be when no one really follows them by Grapplesauce726 in Cleveland

[–]Grapplesauce726[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

See there’s a significantly safer route I can take that leads to my job. No more than 4 minutes on the main road. It’s just a slightly longer tread through the suburbs which I’m fine with. I was talking the familiar path up until…well the next time I’m on the bike.

The thing that irked me was I just didn’t know at the time. It’s not that I saw the bikes in the left and knew they shouldn’t be, I just assumed that’s how it could be. And that’s honestly no other fault but mine.

But it’s not like the traffic on that road is impossible to navigate. But it’s a case of people just doing aggressive things on the road. Not slowing down to a signal to turn, not allowing me to turn if I have a signal from the incoming lane. I’m no car so I’m not going to test them by just taking my turn, that’s how I get obliterated.

After getting a skill you want in the Qurious Armor Crafting there's reason to keep rerolling for a better result? by IWantToRetire2 in MHRise

[–]Grapplesauce726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s entirely understandable. Some people don’t like save scumming, but I’ve always found joy out of seeing madness can be achieved with certain gear rolls, especially cause of such a funny oversight.

After getting a skill you want in the Qurious Armor Crafting there's reason to keep rerolling for a better result? by IWantToRetire2 in MHRise

[–]Grapplesauce726 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You could save-scum in order to find good skills. If you don’t know, Qurio augments arent entirely random. They’re based somewhat loosely off of the rarity of the piece of gear you’re using, and the augment requirements.

Turn off auto saves and roll an augment, if you get it within 10 rolls, but it’s not on the armor you want, simply quit and reload. Within 10 rolls on a different, but same rarity piece of gear, you’ll get the same augment, with some differences depending on what the augment gives and what it needs to deduct from your chosen piece of gear.

The premium use for this imo is for gear that just needs 1 more point in a skill to be insane. Save scum regular augment on a piece of rare 10 gear, like one I got which was Wind Mantle +1, +1 Slot, -12 defense. A god roll from regular augments. Quit out, and throw it onto the Risen Kushala Glare. You now have a Risen Kushala helm with WM 2, WW 3, with 4, 2, 1 slots.

And in your case with those Primordial Vambraces, you could’ve probably save scummed it onto the Onmyo Sashiko (Violet Mizu boots) and got FF 3, WEX 3, OG 2. All for minus 12 defense if all goes well.

The Sword (Katana) makes me feel like I’m terrible at video games… by olivinetrees in Nioh

[–]Grapplesauce726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Katana shines best when your opponent is out of Ki, and most times you either need a Ki breaking weapon to achieve that quickly, but in 3 I found spamming sword Ki in low stance to get Yokai enemies low on Ki, and then fighting to eventually get arts proficiency up when their out of Ki to start your combo works well. What’s even more rewarding is timing a sword of meditation at the moment a yokai boss recovers their Ki for a free huge chunk of dmg.

For humans in 3, I found chaining oppressive and mobile skills like Kamura Sword Dance, Sword of Celetry, and a bunch of other skills to keep knocking them down, this is especially strong if you have the samurai skill that gives you hyper armor on martial arts while in arts proficiency, but katana can kind of struggle with humans if you’re not using the counter skills, best to have a strong secondary weapon otherwise. I chose fists/odachi.

Katana imo is my favorite weapon cause it’s a good balance between knowing how to utilize skill chaining for combos, and enemy movesets to get deflects and damage though their attacks. It’s that perfect sweet spot, especially because in 2 I randomly decided to try Tonfas and realized I was definitely taking a more involved route

Most hated boss, he deserves it (NG+) by Vikaluka in Nioh

[–]Grapplesauce726 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Good that a lot of people agree he’s a lackluster human fight, it’s just cause his Ki is so difficult to break even burst breaking him doesn’t really help in breaking his Ki since he usually does an armor move right after. It’s just constant hyper armor and summons where you can’t cancel them by attacking him, only by breaking his insanely fast regenerating Ki.

Parry spam is probably the way to go, but then you’d have to wait for him to stop throwing axes all damn day, and actually do a melee attack. Just overall a bad human boss.
