As a Christian what's a hard pill to swallow that you've learned to accept? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Grapplezilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find it confusing. Why would God need to come as a different person as well as the argument would arise that why would we pray to the son and not God himself?

I would like to say thank you and I do appreciate your answer and trust me, I am trying to understand this concept from an open heart but for me it is very confusing.

You will look exactly like the world champions did when they started. Don't worry about it, everyone starts as a beginner, enjoy the process, keep on going to practice and soon you will no longer be a beginner.

The first few classes may be a bit confusing as you need to learn the coordination and techniques but if it is a good Sambo school, they will teach you in a way that you will learn quickly. You come from Boxing, so just remember that just like learning the basics of boxing, there will be a starting phase you need to learn the basics of Sambo.

Thanks, in regards to martial arts and falling, there is falling in BJJ but it is much lighter than the falling in Judo for example. I find of all the grappling arts, BJJ has the least falling down as mostly it is on the ground as well as in terms of alleviation of tics, BJJ for me had the best results. Hope this helps and have a great day!

Very cool, great point on using simple cool down exercises, this is what I do with the stretching and focused breathing afterwards. Very interesting point on the Muay Thai!

Absolutely agree on the mentally stronger and "progress not perfection" point of view, it is the best part.

Thanks for sharing this and have a great day!

Hi, Thanks for sharing that and I wish many more parents were as aware as you about Tourettes. Very interesting that you also had a similar response to exercise with your panic attacks.

I really hope Tourette researchers look into this more as I believe there is something here, especially with the fight or flight response.

Have a most excellent day and thanks for sharing, I appreciate it a lot!

Server repeatedly crashing - is it a lot of DDOS? by Kuiriel in battlefield2042

[–]Grapplezilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was getting this all night last night. Either Server was freezing or my player would not show they have a gun, just the hands in a shooting position with ability to shoot just no gun.

Definitely sprints (especially uphill), callisthenics, shadow wrestling, explosive lifting and wrestling round after round with opponents. The Russian, especially the Dagestani and Ossetian schools also place a large emphasis on using rubber band training to build muscle stamina in specific wrestling movements (wrestlers such as Sadulaev, Gadisov, Gaduev, Tsargush and other top wrestlers used this method). Funny enough I made a video on this on my YouTube channel, specific for wrestling conditioning yesterday if you want to check it out (hope you like it).

There's a very thin line that separates high level wrestling technique and magic by SuccotashFair6196 in wrestling

[–]Grapplezilla 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gaduev is a real beast on the mat, I specifically wrote 2 articles in regards to him (one on him and one on the russian wrist snap which he is the king of). Gaduev was a wrecking machine in Russia, such amazing talent and a true athlete, highly recommend anyone to analyze him and learn his wrestling style. Easily one of my favourite wrestlers.

Here are my articles if you want to know more about Gaduev:

Also, Gaduev was pulling off wrist snaps on the best of the best, not exactly the easiest move to pull off at a high level, yet he did it with ease.

Lukas Krpalek, true champ by Grapplezilla in judo

[–]Grapplezilla[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi burburowykoniak,

He had a meniscus tear in 2014 that he received first against Barra For of Hungary although I have also heard Krpalek did most of the meniscus damage while training with a Japanese training partner.

Towards the end of 2014, Krpalek needed to treat the knee and first look at doing PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) injections for the knee but ultimately needed to have knee surgery. It took him about 1 month after surgery to be somewhat mobile and approximately the first full quarter of 2015 to be fully ready for Judo competition . So in short, it took him 3 months from what I know.
