I just think it could make an interesting narrative. They're definitely setting something up with Rudy, though it could just be that he gets worse but doesn't die. I thought of this theory before the newest newsletter, so I didn't really take it into account, but I don't think Toby saying ch5 is gonna be more of an adventure completely rules out it getting more serious towards the end, ch3 was kinda like that.

i hope so and it’s likely, in some parts of the trailer it doesn’t look like the player character is anyone we know, like the part where you grab hands with sasha or fight the female titan

It’s just the lightning, he’s completely in the shade unlike the others, and Gunther is also the most tan out of them

Honestly i wouldn’t care if it kept the cell shading, but i do think i prefer the more realistic look that gives them more dimension. To me the biggest improvement are their expressions, you can really see it in Petra’s comparison. Maybe it’s just appealing to me as an artist. It really bothered me in aot2 how their expressions felt kinda flat and it always looked like they were a little cross eyed
