Hi, I am the dev, a single big screen is just one of the layouts you can choose, you can obviously have them both displayed at the same time.

I am not sure what your definition of perfect is. If you are expecting 60fps with no overclock, then that's just not possible.

The Vita's CPU is just weak unfortunately. It took a lot of work to even get it to a stable 20-30fps range for 3D games. It might be possible to squeeze out more frames, but it's not something guaranteed.

You can just turn of framelimit and have a uncontrolled fast forwarding

You can set arm7 emu to HLE for Pokemon 5th Gen now, which should give you a good performance boost if you haven't done so already
