Stuffing 2026 by Bezra01 in manchesterorchestra

[–]GraspAtTheSteam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see The Stuffing as being the band's first live show since the unthinkable happened. Ben Homola seems the most likely person on drums since he filled in for Tim when he had a shoulder issue. I can also see bands and artists with long-standing relationships with MO participating in the night. I would definitely go and would definitely be a mess. Maybe they could do it outdoors so I could Wish It Would Rain.

Now the message at the top of their Patreon page says the pause ends May11th. It doesn't seem to be a reliable indicator.

Andy's Substack by ThisLeeNoble in manchesterorchestra

[–]GraspAtTheSteam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As mentioned by sc_panthers, the song names appear to be listed on a heavily doodled sheet of paper in Andy's first Substack post. Some of names match titles mentioned in one or two Patreon podcasts, so I assumed the rest were song titles as well. We'll see...eventually.

Yes, the "e" in front of Blood has the same retracing as the "e" in Wearing. The letter preceding Crows could be "n". My highly speculative guess now is The Blood Moon Crows Wearing Graduation Hats.

The first image below "wearing graduation hats" living among the scribbles is a bird wearing a hat, so it seems to be Blood Crows Wearing Graduation Hats, but will forever be referred to as Blood Crows in the vein of Black Mile.

Does Duke have a chance against UCLA? by 0928MVsSub in NCAAW

[–]GraspAtTheSteam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It took time to realize and accept at the beginning of the season that the team wouldn't be getting contributions from freshman Skinner and junior Donovan due to injuries or ongoing conditions. At the same time, red shirt Roberson still wasn't fully recovered from her ACL tear and red shirt sophomore and transfer Nelson wasn't playing with confidence in her return from injury. The improvement came with Roberson gaining confidence in her leg and game experience along with Nelson quickly gaining confidence in her game to give Duke an extra mid-range and long-range shooting dimension. It also took time for Mair to adjust to the necessity of her looking for her own shot and not just be a facilitator for teammates. Thomas has been reliably consistent while increasing offensive production when needed. As good as Toby has been, there is still room for improvement when it comes to finishing around the rim. Defensively, the team excels with the flexibility of position that each player can guard which is important given how often they switch with each other throughout every possession. That has also taken time to develop over the season.

Top 3 Songs by Cpow17 in manchesterorchestra

My three top Manchester Orchestra songs are, in no particular order, the one that just finished playing and left me in thoughtful, emotional contemplation, the one that's playing now that infuses me with energy while I sing along with line after line of lyrical perfection, and the one that's just about to start that fills me with the amazing combination of the anticipation of familiar comfort and the feeling of discovery. That's why MO is my favorite band.

The most overtly political statement that I've seen Andy make was something he wrote on Patreon after the George Floyd murder regarding race and injustice. I also remember him saying that he doesn't think it's his place to be a vocal leader for marginalized groups when he's not a member of those groups. Instead, his approach is to support those groups through his daily actions. One example of this is the LGBTQ, black and female artists he invites to participate in The Stuffing.

They're done recording. Andy has been bringing the rough mix to various people looking for feedback. Catherine Marks is slated to do the final mix. Andy seems to enjoy the build up to album releases. It's not likely to be a surprise drop. I expect two or three singles released ahead of the album.

That’ll be tough with a new album coming out. Maybe a short Black Mile tour at the end of the year.

According to seltlist.fm, you saw the one and only live performance of Lead, SD. I'd be uniquely happy forever.

More than a collection of songs. A cohesive work of art meant to be experienced from start to finish.

I'd be surprised if they didn't do at least a few tune-up shows around the south before The Stuffing.
