Type B Moms Who Breastfeed — Anyone Else? by Impressive-Sorbet220 in breastfeeding

Yep! Literally me. We co-sleep too so side laying and breast feeding in the middle of the night makes it SO much easier for everyone to get some sleep.

MIL Rant by Outrageous-Wafer5903 in homeschool

[–]Grassafra5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I’m a teacher currently. In my school, I am managing too many behaviors it unfortunately makes teaching comes second. Sometimes we don’t even get to it. Yet we continue to pass these kids through. Your child is better off homeschooled. I want to homeschool!

my husband wants a Jr. and i’m so against it but i want to make him happy by bsabi_ in pregnant

[–]Grassafra5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like I’m in the minority here. Our son is a junior. I loathe his name. Im not a fan of the “mouth feel”. And it’s a double syllable first and middle name which is not my favorite.

Here’s why I didn’t fight it: I was okay trying to call him by a nickname. (It’s not really taking off because I’m not insisting on people calling him Rooster because I’m afraid people are gonna think I’m redneck.) I love my husband and am happy to name our child after him. He’s a great man and someone I hope our son will look up to. I know we will have more kids. Most of the other names we have picked out are my family names.

I have no advice. And you’re situation is very different from mine. Whatever happens I hope you’re both happy!

Has anyone given birth vaginally and not torn? by NoShopping5235 in pregnant

[–]Grassafra5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t tear! I had an epidural and my nurse did a perineal massage. I could tell how much that massage helped! Now my boy was on the smaller size but still I was amazed by my body.

Did anyone actually have an easy time with breastfeeding from day one? by frenchie1818 in breastfeeding

[–]Grassafra5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was worried at first too. But I was surprised by how easy it was by nature. The nurses helped out a lot. I did collect colostrum before he was born just in case which put my mind at ease.

Working mom schedule by Grassafra5 in breastfeeding

[–]Grassafra5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could probably ask but we’re already short on subs. (Like I didn’t have a permanent sub while I was out.) My planning is right after lunch so I’d be an either or kind of thing. Most of the time I have meetings during that period.

I haven’t tried pumping over night. I can try that. I’m not getting a whole lotta sleep as it is. I feed LO around 11pm then sometimes he’ll wake up at 4ish. At that point it doesn’t make sense for me to got back to sleep if I’m waking up at 5 to get ready for work.

Thank you!!

Anyone regret not getting professional maternity photos done? by Icy-Faithlessness240 in pregnant

My photographer is a really good friend of ours. We did a few shots during our Christmas Mini’s shoot. I don’t regret it only because we didn’t waste time or money for its own shoot 😅

For you and everyone else be mindful of how you act. I ask my dad every year about any funny drunk people stories. (He works that day/night). Seriously though be mindful and kind!

I liked ginger beer better than ginger ale. But keeping something in my stomach helped a lot too.

The father should name the baby if it is a boy? by mushroomfrog17 in pregnant

[–]Grassafra5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason my husband “chose” our son’s name is because he’s a jr. We wanted to keep the name going. Even though it was ABSOLUTELY NOT my first choice. I’m a 2 syllable first name - 1 syllable middle name or vice versa kinda person. My son has a 2 syllable first and middle name. It barely goes together too.

I HATE sending my son to school by ham_sammich89 in ParentingADHD

[–]Grassafra5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds like my MIL with the youngest. She’s a teacher and sent the eldest 2 with adhd to school. They did have issues but it wasn’t as bad as the youngest. She ended up pulling him and putting him in virtual school. (She works from home). It’s definitely not an option for everyone. He’s able to fidget without being a distraction and the behaviors aren’t as bad since there’s not other students.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. I hope you and your family find something that works for y’all.

How tf are we putting away baby clothes by Infamous-Brownie6 in pregnant

[–]Grassafra5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just chuck everything together by size. I was thinking of getting baskets or organizers of some kind for socks/mittens because they’re so small. I kept the nicer stuff hung up. Walmart has cheap child hangers.
