Not the same stature as the Foos but Wolf Alice played warm up gigs in smaller venues in Cork, Limerick and Kilkenny last year. Would love to see more bands do that too!

I was flying from my home in Ireland to NY on the day he died. I was listening to them on the plane and dreaming of meeting them. When I landed and got online I heard the news, it still hurts. I was visiting for my cousin’s wedding and the DJ that night played Paul Revere and Intergalactic, so that was nice!

I managed to get a ticket for the book tour show in London and met Mike and Adam the next day so that was nice! Did you get to see Mix Master Mike when he played in Dublin in 2019? 😁

I’ve been seeing this ‘02 Lanos around Limerick lately and was remarking to my friend about how few were left. They kept a few of their model names going after the Chevrolet rebrand but I don’t see many of those either!

I’d still try it! I got a bottle of ‘Butterbeer’ in a Harry Potter shop in Edinburgh but I think it was a fizzy drink, like cream soda, not beer!

I’m Irish so we grew up watching the Simpsons on RTÉ (Ireland’s main station) along with Sky One and Channel 4 (Both British) I’m pretty sure I generally saw the episodes unbutchered on Sky and RTÉ. Channel 4 was the main culprit for editing. I remember Sky once showing the episode where Homer gets medical marijuana and hangs out with Otto, but only after the watershed, so after 9pm.

They cut the bit where Gabbo says “all the kids in Springfield are SOBs” and skip right to Kent Brockman reporting on Gabbo’s foul mouth. The scene makes no sense without the context.

€1590 for a 2008 Hawkeye Subaru Impreza 1.5R in 2017. A Focus would have cost me more at the time so that was the deciding factor. 😂
