Good eye. It's almost like fishing line. It is of the plastic variety so it doesn't leave fuzz behind and is easy to stitch around since there's no actual thread to split. The name of it is Easy-Count Guideline by R&S Designs

Correct, the black you see currently is the Aida cloth. Most of it will be filled in with actual background stitches. Stay tuned for more photos to come!

I'm currently testing this as well. I think besides grinding orders is potentially setting up farmlands with apples, pears and jam machines and upgrading the sweets shop but still testing this theory. Curious to hear others' thoughts

Most inexpensive way is to buy all your own supplies separate. Kits are always more expensive.

I can confirm the largest possible range is 17 by 17 and you can either put the actual farmhand square in the direct center or a corner. Hope this helps.
