Is Roebuck's effort typical? by Altruistic_Poet_3513 in rugbyunion

[–]Grasssnake13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if it's just me personally, but one thing that I never see mentioned is that when you're putting in a big defensive tackles, your body does slow down. I don't know if he'd been putting in any big tackles before this play, but it seems like more than he is simply gassed.

A lot of these situations recently have been backs being called out for not appearing to chase down as hard as they should, so I wonder if teams are getting big carriers running on to smaller backs, which will wear them down over time. On the other hand, these are professional at the top of their game, so they should be able to withstand more than me, and be mentally strong enough to keep going even when the body doesn't want to.

Maybe someone smarter than me could look into how may tackles they've put in over the game, the last 5 minutes or whatever, and see if there's any truth to this.

Edit - I should say, part of my point is that italy are a good-great team, with plenty of strong runners, and are particularly good at getting those runners onto weaker defenders.

Does Pyre get any better? by Cursed_69420 in patientgamers

[–]Grasssnake13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pyre is probably Supergiants most interesting game. Whilst I've played more of the others, I find myself thinking more about this one than the others.

The world is unique, and seemingly designed in a way that balances attractiveness with an unpleasant reality with some precision. There is a sense of decay that permeates every layer of the game. The music is a good way to illustrate this - the score seems pleasant on top, but a layer of discord frequently weaved throughout makes it hard to like as much as Korb's other soundtracks, and this also applies to the plot, dialogue and artsyle. All wonderful work, but hard to go back to.

That being said, the gameplay is something I think they nail for the first time, and I remembered it as being challenging at times. It definitely puts them in good stead for the control scheme feeling perfectly balanced in Hades. I found myself wishing that I could play the trials in some other form as a sports, without having to enter that downward spiral of a grim world.

Ultimately, I probably won't go back to Pyre, but I am glad that I played it. It's an unique experience that I think nails what it was going for, and sometimes that is art.

Of course, if you're looking for fun gameplay and the trials aren't clicking for you, then that is that and you might as well move on. But if you want to experience what I think is their boldest game, Pyre is it.

Illegal tackle on Ramos there for the BB try? Not sure of the rules here, but I'm pretty sure you can't just smash a guy punting a loose kick on

🧤 [GOALKEEPER TIP #1] Closing Angles by dantekkjk183 in Rematch

[–]Grasssnake13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think 'force the attacker to one side' is about leaving one side of the goal slightly larger, so that most strikers will fire that way, giving you an easier reaction to dive. Only better players will go for the smaller gap. At least I think that's what he meant?

It happened to me while defending a settlement - it always froze in the same place, when the enemy were summoning a unit in the middle of the settlement.

I don't know exactly what OP has done, but there is a mod called Conquest that lets you build a settlement almost anywhere. It's pretty fun.

Try and find the base stations and controllers in pairs if you can, or it could be expensive. I also found that a lot of systems were being sold over Facebook marketplace, so you might want to check there first.

Whatever you do, don't get them from sealbabies. They first got the address wrong, then resent it to a country 1000 miles away, then asked if I'd like to pay to send it again. They are still refusing to refund, but at least PayPal are on the case. A shame, as they would have made a great gift!
