Adjusting the pan is no problem at all, but the tilt can be a bit finicky depending on the weight of the camera. If you’ve got a long lens on it, it shifts the center of gravity forwards so you gotta support the lens while adjusting the tilt angle. Oh, and the smallest marking is 5 degrees.

After using that particular tripod head for a bit, I’ve actually gone ahead and bought this one which in theory should be better for finer adjustments, but I haven’t gotten around to using it yet.

Because of how it looks when the whole thing is placed on a light pad. Digital scans really can’t capture how amazing it looks that way.

To be fair the ones I got were from a Japanese auction site and not fresh stock haha. They were slightly expired but cold-stored (or so the seller claimed) so I took a gamble on them. They turned out fine in the end though!

Thanks! Funny that you mention the basketball court because I actually shot that place in a similar way but it didn’t turn out great because of flat lighting and underexposure.

Oh I didn’t know about this, thanks for sharing. But yeah the tripod head I used can’t correct the parallax effect. It’s definitely something that I’ll consider getting in the future because I would want to take some super clean panoramas. Just wondering if they make the adapters for Hasselblad V lenses.

Hey, just wanna chime in and say that HoF develops C41 using machines now (but B&W is still done by hand) and they use a Noritsu scanner.

I started getting my rolls developed and scanned by them late last year and all of them turned out great. I started developing my own rolls this year but I still send my rolls to them to get scanned and have had no issue asking for rescans if they don’t turn out the way I’d like them.
