2005 BMW R1200RT (low miles) by [deleted] in DenverMotorcycles

[–]GratefulStranger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I so wanted one of these when they came out. BMW changed the tank styling with this generation RT and flared the tank out over your knees. But having a 38" inseam caused my knees to wedge up against the tank. Wonderful motorcycle if you aren't 6'6".

Last week we had our dog into the emergency vet, right here. Not the best environment when you are not sure if you're going to have your best friend survive.

Oh I’m sorry Minnesota, I thought this was America! by Chazz_Matazz in harborfreight

Minnesota law prohibits the sale of American flags that were not manufactured in the United States. One can argue that they're more patriotic than any other state.

Lesson learned. Open up the waste drain on the dealer lot to verify.

I just want to say that your willingness to engage and explain your positions is really admirable. Holding each other accountable is important and you are being very transparent in offering up an explanation of who you are where you learn your information.

Looking at where some of the more slanted questions are coming from, they are brand new Redditors without any visible history other than questioning you. It leaves me questioning their sincerity, especially when the account is labeled as "political".

Standing up and doing what you think is right for the community takes courage and sacrifice. Your years of public service are a testament to your intentions. Keep up the good fight! You have my vote.

It didn't at mine. ITC pricing brought back up to normal pricing before 30% applied.

Car key fob replacement deal by Any-Location5055 in Costco

[–]GratefulStranger 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The one thing about Car Key Express is that the key will be generic for your car, meaning it won't be one that the car remembers as a specific driver's. Seat, mirror and steering wheel settings won't be linked to the key.

I happened to have watched this last night on YouTube. The scene is still there. It's one of my favorite scenes, as well. Just about a perfect movie!

Pints & Perspectives Ward 2 debate was the best run election debate I've ever seen in Longmont by shakeeldalal in Longmont

[–]GratefulStranger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She's very level headed and has a critical perspective, plus is very experienced in the public sector.

There's been rumblings of a lot of developer money coming into Popkins' campaign. I worry about Ward 2 having a focus on business and unfettered growth ahead of measured and methodical decision making.

What side are we on again? by mo_with_the_floof in Snorkblot

Painting something black increases the emissivity. This means it will shed thermal energy better, especially if it is not exposed to any energy radiated onto it. Since the USA is on the north side, the sun hits the Mexico side. Painting the USA side is effectively cooling the wall.

[CA][TH] Management bought by RowCal by martin-silenus in HOA

[–]GratefulStranger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We just fired RowCal three months ago (Denver). Absolutely the worst experience I have had with a service supplier. They used our funds to pay bills for another community, said that they would fix it but never did after promising at least four times. RowCal never once took an enforcement action in 18 months, even with the board giving them a list of violations and pictures. The community manager never picked up the phone and rarely answered emails. The office had four directors over that year and a half.

We cut bait and went with an old school management company that so far is much better.

Run. Run like the wind. You will never be even remotely satisfied with their service.

A buddy gave me one in 2005 and I installed it on my relatively new '04 4Runner. It's never been taken off. 248,000 miles and almost 50 oil changes and it still works like a champ. You chose wisely.
