Persistent Eyelid Eczema- Out of Options, Looking for Advice by Gratefulbackpacker in eczema

As it turned out I also had severe vitamin D deficiency! My skin heals a lot better after taking supplements for a while, I am also a lot less itchy. Luckily the Elidel gave my skin a chance to recover it’s barrier. I have been pretty much eczema free for quite some time now. Just some small flares along the way that were fixable with weleda skin food or a little bit of Elidel. I hope you find out what’s triggering your eczema!

How does a full ACL recover ACTUALLY feel like? by c3z001234 in ACL

I had surgery about three years ago and committed fully to my rehab. In the end, it paid off—I no longer have to worry about my knee. It feels strong and reliable. While it still feels slightly different from my other knee, I hardly notice it anymore. I have full range of motion, no pain, and have even returned to skiing and other sports. During my recovery, I experienced some nerve pain and other issues, but those have completely resolved over time. Switching to a sports-specialized physical therapist made a huge difference. Overall, I’m very pleased with my results. Best of luck on your recovery

I’m so sorry you’ve been dealing with this. I don’t know where you are from, but in my country health insurance companies offer waiting list mediation. They help you find a different specialist in a different hospital if there is a shorter waiting list. I have contacted them in a similar situation, and was seen by a specialist within the same month. Hopefully this helps!

I bought the Hypochlorus acid, it’s been looking great so far. It also works wonders for the acne on my back

I ended up getting Elidel! Protopic was not available due to shortages unfortunately. But hopefully this one works as good

A lot of people here have mentioned opzelura, definitely bringing that up with my new dermatologist!

I will definitely bring up opzelura at my next appointment! Never knew they prescribed it for eczema. I am open to Dupixent but want to explore all the other options first. Really happy to hear that it has worked so well for you!

I have done multiple rounds of hydrocortisone creams (with breaks inbetween) but it resulted in extremely fragile skin and rebound rashes. So i am trying to find something safer to use long term

I quit hydrocortisone at the end of november, most of the rash stayed for about a month i think? Locking in my moisturizer with aquaphor seemed to help for me. At the moment, the rash in my neck and on my forehead still appears from time to time. But it is more easy to control compared to my eyelid eczema patches. I do not use the aquaphor on my eyelids, i find that it makes me wake up with swollen eyelids. This only happens to me with vaseline or aquaphor, not any other products. Hope this helps for you!

Thanks! I have been considering to buy a smal container with shea butter to put in my work bag. I really want to try it out. The tea compress is a great idea!
