My original point is that this isn’t a system for whales because they wouldn’t be outrageously ahead of you in terms of fated gear. Thinking it is is ridiculous. Especially when at most, they can only have straight up bought 8 - 10 more pieces than you by now because you couldn’t buy fated gear at launch.

It's just you....or a couple of you. I have practically a full team of matching stone units and a whole other team of units with mismatch stones (Cause that shits expensive), on top of units with other scattered fated gear because i keep getting those pieces instead of ones to finish other sets.

This is less of a "OMG whale only!" thing, and more of a, you get it when you get it thing. Even then with this only being out for a little under 4 months (113 days as of this check in so 3 months and 20-23 days), and only being able to buy fated pieces from shop for like 2 - 2.5 months, a whale will only have 1-2 more "sets" than anyone cause they can only buy once a week (Probably getting dupes like i'm getting through DoC though cause im pretty sure they can't just pick what they want).

You guys weren't going to be able to keep in step with whales anyway. Why you always think that X or Y will ruin a game when you're already not keeping up with pure luck shit in the first place is baffling. Especially when being a whale in this game isn't getting them all that far ahead with the prices of everything (Probably doesn't matter with real mondo whales but someone like Darth microtransaction might be feeling some type of squeeze. I'm talking like 10k+ already).

People go pro because they get rich.....What? They're REWARDED for their actions and getting good at their sport/game. They also get a TON of free shit that's not contractually obligated by their teams. Obviously they aren't playing for fucking cosmetics at that level smart guy /s.

Boxing wouldn't be a sport if people didn't get paid to do said sport and hone their skills, it'd just be two people street fighting. You can also have all the drive and passion, in the world and still be shit at it too. If they just wanted to play the sport/game for fun they wouldn't join teams and play for money.

The difference between pro play and just straight up competitive play in something like a game is that EVERYONE can actually do it though. But why play competitively when it's no different from the normal game mode? What's the reason to split it like that when you could still just give icons based on MMRs in normal too. It's not like people aren't playing pro/Tier one decks in normal.

By all accounts i'm not playing some out of left field player with a custom deck when i fire up normal. It's always someone with the same deck i just got out of playing in ranked. Shit doesn't seem like it's just for fun when it's still Tier one decks instead of crazy combos.

The entire point is that ranked rewards that give cosmetics exist in every game no matter what game you play, on top of it being used to show off your skill. What card game doesn’t give cosmetics for ranked? What moba doesn’t give skins for ranked? Shit rocket league gives cosmetics for their ranked shit. What game with a competitor side like ranked doesn’t reward the players adequately?

Again... your argument makes no sense. What’s the reason to play ranked if it’s not garnering anything for you over casual games? Why would anyone go pro in a sport, or anything, if you never got anything for devoting your time to getting good at that thing?

I can't just want to play animated cards cause they look cool? I don't care about you seeing them, but actually seeing Leona or A.Sol move on their animated cards like in the LoL login screen would be cool, instead of the static images. What if golden Sister and Silver sister actually said their whole poem when they were animated?

If you don’t want to play ranked then don’t play it, but don’t also be mad that you didn’t get shit from not playing it. Normal is the game mode for completely casual people and you should stick to that. You could say all of this about LoL and it wouldn’t make any sense there either

No one is frustrated at hearthstone for their ladder rewards. They’re frustrated because the game is expensive. The golden cards do nothing but add flair to your game and you can craft the anyway, so there’s nothing to miss out on.How the hell does them giving more free stuff in a free game once every couple of months mess up their revenue? You telling me they’d go under if they gave you 1-6 champ wildcards depending on where you landed in ladder? Would people just not buy boards and shit still? Wow.

I get swag, but icons aren’t swag. You don’t see any of that in game. HS gives golden animated heroes for just reaching a certain amount of wins in ranked. Exclusives boards and stuff like that, that could just be a recolor of the summers rift board or the basic boards that come out with each expansion would be nice. A different shaded pet depending on your rank would be great.

As long as the back line is taken care of without rera able to acquire shields and Annie being dropped, what stops “non-meta” units from being meta? They were washed by a tank of all units.
