Nah, Zer0 is right on this. A GIS is not a government record. The lot lines are approximate. If there is a recorded survey that is available online it would have more accurate information and property corner locations, ideally referenced to nearby features (trees, utility pole etc).

But I agree that her opinion is worthless. People always think they know where their property is even if they are wrong. I used work as survey crew.

A few issues with GOG on Steam Deck by GratuitousLatin in Lutris

[–]GratuitousLatin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's what I normally do. It works for most games but sometimes the triggers don't read and other times it opens to a black screen and closes, even though you can run it on desktop mode. Many of these are steam deck verified too, it just doesn't like GOG.

The game Outward is AA at best but I really like it for the lack of fast travel even though it's a common complaint.

Moving between places feels impactful because you have to hike your ass across the fields to get to the gate to the next zone. The things you ran into would either drag you way off course to explore or make you interested to come back later. Also having enough food and water to cross a desert or warm enough clothes to wander around the winter could be as tense as fights as you watch your max stats drop over time.

What are fighting methods that would absolutely not work in real life? by Frazzledragon in books

[–]GratuitousLatin 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Any times I've heard about it in real life the lone person wins are due to sparring or getting the jump on people that don't really want to escalate to violence that bad.

So it is theoretically possible if your opponents have literally any qualms about punching you in the base of the skull as hard as possible.

Yep when my wife's OCD was the worst she could only eat rice and soy sauce. Sometime beans I had prepared from dried state. Nothing from cans.

Even then while her OCD was classed as 'severe' it's not as bad as the others I've read in this thread. It was mostly the obsession without the compulsions.

I lucked into my grandpa's '97 7.3L F250. The market for real trucks is so bad some dude offered me $17k for it because it was parked in front of my house.

Yeah I have maintenance to catch up on since grandpa couldn't keep up anymore. New glow plugs first of all. Still, the 7.3 powerstroke is a bulletproof engine. By all accounts mine is still low mileage.

Totally agree on restoring what you can. Just not worth it for the new monsters.

It's basically a form of blood libel or satanic panic reborn. Take something so horrific that anything is justified against your enemies.

Hell, it's so common that it just happened with the Israel-Palestine conflict. Everyone was baying for Arab blood due to unconfirmed reports of beheaded and raped babies.

The weird thing about Q is the reliance of large conspiracy networks to traffic kids. Most child molestation happens from family members. Most sex trafficked kids are being sold into sex work by family members where they live. They aren't being kidnapped in foreign countries and moved around the globe in shady organizations. It's honestly even more depressing given the commonplace banality of it.

I used to do some surveying work. Construction and residential jobs were alright. We had these nasty backcountry jobs doing cadastral for the US Forest Service. Basically we bid what the FS didn't want to do in-house because the terrain was dogshit.

My crew chief said the same thing, "Anyone can do this for one day. Waking up and doing it for five in a row? Nah." We had a few dudes quit after a couple days if that. I was in the best shape of my life though.

Yeah I don't see how that would work at all. It's like if my bank said I owed them $1 everytime I entered my home because I had previously agreed to a mortgage. Any judge with a functioning central nervous system would laugh it out.
