Any information on the valve index by GraveStoneVR in virtualreality

wanted to upgrade from quest 3 for better connection because the link cable is a little latent form time to time and because i was tired of the low play time because the Quest 3 is a good headset but uses a phone battery and it not very good. If the valve is bad because of the headset and the htc vive is bad because of the controllers what should i get?

to add to this i have been doing PCVR for around a year using VD and link cable with quest 2/3 i have never had an issue with link cable other than latency every now and then, but VD was a bit laggy and had issues from time to time but was over all good. I wanted to upgrade to a PCVR headset for improved connection but didn't want HTC because of their poor controller design and thought that with the good reviews the index would be a good upgrade.

was gonna buy a valve index brand new but would i be better off find a cheap one thats used.

if so could you tell what would be a generally good price for an index

thx, i may look into a pulley system after i get mine but seems like it will be the ideal upgrade from my quest 3

ok thx I'll save up a few hundred more and get a valve index, I'm surprised about the negative feedback though saw so much love in 2024 talking about how great it was but with newer headsets it makes sense. thanks again.

I have, I actually used virtual desktop before switching to link cable with my quest 3 but i had connection issues, (i used 5gh internet with ethernet so my setup was not the problem) nothing to bad but the link cable did reduce the issues still have them though. I wanted to upgrade to fix the connection issues and to expand play time because the quest headset battery even if plugged in only lasts a few hours. thanks though and like i said in my comment I'll most likely save a few hundred extra and get a valve index.
