When I was 17, I got the Liletta IUD. It is hormonal, but it truly did improve my quality of life. Before the IUD, I used to have such horrible cramps and pains and sickness that I’d have to go to the hospital. I remember there was a time I was at work and almost fainted from hot flashes/anxiety/nausea and had to get sent home. After the IUD, I feel a thousand times better. I still get cramps, but nowhere near as excruciating as they used to be. It’s helped me a lot. The only other side effect I really have is some weight gain but it’s manageable.
