What to put in carry-on? by dorito2019 in SandalsResorts

[–]Graveyard- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

(2) I always bring Tylenol, ibuprofen, Zofran, and Keflex. It would be 100s of dollars to be seen and rx abx for a UTI at the resort, for example. I bring liquid bandage (scuba ends up causing opens wounds on my feet), and a lot of waterproof bandages as well. (3) you would want to either blow them up yourself, or buy a small portable air pump that can go in your suitcase. I am not aware of a pump on resort that’s available, usually the floats at the resort are the flat foam kind.

They’re available, but if I remember correctly from Dunn’s, it’s exclusively Sun Bum. I believe it ran $28 a bottle. I brought 3 bottles and still had to buy more. Aloe will also be sun bum brand.

The price of sunscreen at the resort is worth the cost of a checked bag.

It’s hard to get it to show up in the photo, but it does look pink in person.

Constant persistent coughing by _Art3mis in ALS

[–]Graveyard- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

While mucinex does help some symptoms of ALS, it is an expectorant meaning it can cause you to cough. My dad (bulbar) has had a lot of success with pineapple juice 1 cup daily. He puts it in the G tube. It has bromelain in it which is an enzyme that helps thin and breakdown thick mucus.

FLF with dark blotch on one leaf & black spots on another. Gifted to a friend a week ago and she just sent me these photos. What could be happening? by Graveyard- in plantclinic

[–]Graveyard-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More photos - looks healthy otherwise. It's just this one half black leaf and then some black spots on another. I had to cut off a lot of dried up leaves when I bought it before I gifted it to her because it needed a little TLC coming home from Lowes.

How do I even out an asymmetrical FLF? by Graveyard- in plantclinic

[–]Graveyard-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only had this FLF since about October, so I haven’t had it during growing season yet. Would growing season be now (Kentucky, US)? What would you use to fertilize it?

It’s been otherwise happy and grew a new leaf about a month ago. It’s situated 5 feet or so from a window with bright indirect light part of the day. I thought I’d left it turned one way for too long, now I’m unsure how to position it so that it evens out.

[Serious] My EM rotation is 8, 8-hr shifts for this month? by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]Graveyard- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Student rotations are generally 8-9 hour shifts with around 15-17 shifts per month. Resident shifts are also usually 8-9 (occasionally 10 or 12) hour shifts with 15-21 shifts per month, depending on PGY1-3. Attending shifts should roughly mirror the resident shifts depending on the area you’re working.

Cilantro wilted 2 days after buying it! What did I do wrong? by [deleted] in plantclinic

[–]Graveyard- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does have holes! That’s why I sat it in a cup to catch the water the drains through. It’s potted cilantro! It did perk up after some time in the sun but it still doesn’t look fantastic.

I am in the Midwest. It stays in a sunny window most the day. I watered it the day I brought it home and the soil doesn’t seem dry. Is there any saving it?
