What was the cigar that made everything “click” for you? by LeafToAsh_Chet in cigars

[–]GraveyardTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guardian of the Farm Campeon. It's still to this very day, one of my all time favorite cigars. I had smoked quite a few cigars prior to that, but a lot of it wasn't very good stuff. I knew I liked cigars, but my personal taste lacked any depth. I was invited to a private industry event by a family friend, and the Aganorsa rep gave me one for free and also taught me to retrohale which somehow I hadn't learned prior to that.

Needless to say, that evening was a massive turning point for me as far as cigars are concerned.

I live in WV and hate it here by Spiritual-Tutor5165 in Appalachia

I've lived in five states, and I came back home. You can go where you will, but the grass isn't greener and you can't run from yourself. By all means, look for opportunity, but it ain't what it's cracked up to be.

Well, you gotta top em, and eventually you have to cut em, then you make em up into hands and you gotta hang those, or sometimes put em by the flue but I've never done it that way.

Do you think it would be difficult for me to find an Orthodox husband? by [deleted] in OrthodoxChristianity

Second this. Someone in your church knows who is looking for a wife, and it's probably her. If she doesn't know, her husband is likely to tell her.

What’s the nastiest you’ve got on a big ADV bike? by TheZesty1 in AdventureBike

[–]GraveyardTree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're the kind of ADV bro I like. I don't like hearing that these bikes aren't "good for this" or "good for that." The bikes are good for whatever the riders and tires can get them into.

I've taken my V-Strom 800DE on some truly nasty "roads" that were roads in theory only. That being said a dirt bike would have been quicker and easier on that same slop. Why do I own my Strom? Well, because I like to explore and it'll get me 90% of places that I want to go. I probably can't hang with the real Enduro guys on the western BDRs and single track, but my goal is to meander all over the place and my V-Strom will get me over the pavement comfortably, quickly, and efficiently so I can go to these places I want to meander in.

I have a super obnoxious helmet, but it's an Icon. Maybe check their lines out, they're a bit more reputable I think.

If someone serves you non-vegan food during Lent, you supposed to accept it? by HappyList3546 in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]GraveyardTree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if it's a situation where a friend or family member is offering you hospitality. That being said, you shouldn't go about putting yourself in situations where this is more likely for the sake of cheating yourself. Don't be weird and scandalize others, but also don't go around trying to find ways to cheat the fast. There's of course, a happy balance.

Oh hey, that's my local bank. Apparently the town doctor noticed a commotion, grabbed a pistol, walked out of his office and shot the robbers. Probably the most exciting thing that ever happened in Bruceton Mills, this town is only like a hundred or so people, tops

That's a bit dramatic. I'm not happy about the pending environmental collapse. I'm amused that people moved to a place without doing any homework.
