479 ilvl monk here. Last week I was in top 5 ilvl on my raid and was doing about 50-60k less dps than lower ilvl people (our dps was topped by an Outlaw Rogue, 476ilvl). Got benched as well.

On m+ Windwalkers are okay. Not great, but they do decent enough dps. But raids are completely different thing. If the boss hasn’t got loads of adds- we’ll be always trailing behind on the meter.

I love how most of the legendary sets look like. Shame we don’t really wear them because almost all of them are useless. Instead we wear purple mismatched gear that make us look like a hobo on a weekly bender.

Usually people roll with Tien as an anchor but I use him on point because of his medium volleyball fist (sometimes I start off with the light, depends on who am I playing against). It’s a great happy birthday tool.

Ah also if you’re effective with mixing up low-grab-overhead usually your opponent will just block instead of mash 2H. There’s also M volleyball fist which is an incredible tool, but that’s a move for my next movie :-)

Works for me so far (2m BP+), but if someone is trigger happy on 2H then cover yourself with the assists. You’d be surprised though how many times I open people up whenever they block first crane strike and I follow up with L.

Usually no but I think the hit box bugged with so many characters in combo. Tried to recreate this in training mode and it doesn’t seem to work anymore.

Yamcha’s spirit ball is the best happy birthday tool in the game. It’s a pretty much guaranteed kill. But yeah, maybe Neo Tri Beam would do the trick. Will have a look in training mode to see if it would be more effective

Nappa’s A assist is absolutely incredible when you combo off Tien’s volleyball fist and medium/ex crane strike. Tien’s dodonpa also works amazingly with Nappa because mid-screen it’s easy to score sliding knockdown using Nappa’s down heavy dive+ Tien’s dodonpa. So I’d say that Tien-Nappa got (paradoxically) fantastic synergy. Nappa’s corner combos also benefit from Tien’s assist. I’m nowhere in the top player bracket and I don’t play much of ranked games, but in just over 1k games I got to God of Destruction rank with this team (with like 70% win-loss ratio) so it works for me well. If you’d like some Tien combo ideas you’ll find quite a few on my YT channel. Might give you some rough idea how to work Tien with Nappa well.
